Lamia was polite and knowledgeable and very timely in her response. She was flexible about her timing and pricing and best of all, she had excellent suggestions on how my children might furnish their first apartment. Ms. Lamia Maalouf of MI Design was hired by EH National Bank for two separate projects in California. She designed and furnished the offices in Costa Mesa (2012) and the bank's Headquarter in Beverly Hills (2014).

Ms. Maalouf headed the interior design & interior architecture in both projects. That includes the selection of material, finishes and the furniture. She created a complete concept that was consistent with the bank's image and took charge of the supervision of installation. She also kept things moving on schedule and made sure the furniture was delivered in a timely manner.

Lamia Maalouf worked several times as designer and project manager of residential remodels on my behalf. The first project was the most extensive. An old canyon mid-century was lovingly modernized and redecorated.

As I was living and working abroad, her job was more delicate and harder, as she did not choose all the craftsmen involved. She managed them but consulted with me daily on all decisions through emails of text, photos and plans. I felt fully involved throughout.

Lamia ensured the work delivered was excellent, on time and on budget. Her perfect sense of style and tone meant that, whilst bringing the house's kitchen, baths, natural lighting and floors up to date, its classic spirit was fully respected. We hired MI Design to review the architectural plans for a new house we were having built and advise on the bathrooms. Although we had an excellent architect, they were able to find a few key recommendations for changes that we now are very happy we made to the plans, the kinds of items we would not have thought of on our own and were absolutely critical. Lamia listens to my requests and understands what i want and took it to a different level...She thinks of every single detail. She is fearless with colors but also can work with subtle color palette. she used her magic colors through out the house and created a different mood in every room.
