I cannot say enough about Metropawlitan and their staff! This is the first puppy I have needed a walking service for and reviewing several options. I took a leap of faith with this team. They have exceeded my expectations with professionalism, reliability and care for my puppy. Whenever I have a question, I am responded to quickly. My puppy was sick, they rushed her to my vet for me to meet them. I needed Someone to come and sit with her when she couldn't go out, not a problem! Isabelle has been our caretaker (walker is not a proper description, she does so much) My puppy is so excited to see her, will wait by the door for her if I am teleworking, and loves up on Isabelle upon her arrival. I know she is loved and in good hands. I only rate 5 stars because there is not a 6th, 7th or 8th! More...

My family PCSd to Hawaii this week and my spouse took our dog to be shipped out of Dulles the night before we were supposed to leave. Things did not go to plan and, even though we did everything we were supposed to, our pup missed his flight and had to be rebooked the next evening. I started frantically googling because our flights were at 7 AM. Someone I found through Google connected me with Metropawlitan Petsitters. Jude reached out and assured me that she could pick up our dog from our empty house and have him at Dulles with plenty of time to get on his rebooked flight. Not only did Jude deliver our pup with plenty of time, she also communicated with Alaska Air to make sure they knew to expect her. She stayed in constant communication (the pictures were so helpful to my distressed five year old) so we knew that our boy was checked in and on his way to board his plane. I cannot thank Jude and Metropawlitan Petsitters enough for coming through for us at the last minute. Moving is already stressful enough and the thought of our pup not making it was a lot. Ewa is the best dog walker I have EVER had. So much so that when I moved a few years back, I factored her walking territory into my move. My dog can be a bit anxious and she's amazing with him. Pet Sitting
We offer pet sitting in Arlington, Alexandria, Falls Church and Annandale, VA. All of our care is done in the comfort of your own home — to keep your pet in a familiar environment. Pet sitting offers an attractive alternative to boarding your pet at a kennel or cattery. Our pet sitters will provide personalized and loving care tailored to your pets needs. We are a 24-hour service and will make visits at any time of the day, as needed.
Dog Sitting – take dogs on walks to get exercise, dispose of pet waste, feed your pets per your instruction and provide fresh water with every visit
Cat Sitting – feed, give water, brush and if your cat enjoys walking, we will walk them on a leash, clean litter boxes and control accidents, dispose of pet waste
Small Animal Care – clean out small animal areas (i.e. rabbits, hamsters, lizards, birds)
Day Stay (Companion Care)
Litterbox and Cage Clean Out ONLY
Administer pet medication, even insulin, and subcutaneous fluids for an additional fee
Bring in mail, newspapers, and look out for deliveries, check that your home is secure and safe from obvious hazards
Puppy Care
Our caring walkers in Arlington, Alexandria, Annandale and Falls Church will give your new puppy the extra special, individualized care needed at this critical stage of development and socialization. In addition to covering the basics of feeding and walking, we will adhere to particular protocols to reinforce training.
Basic puppy training (the potty is outside; leash training and practice; no jumping, etc.)

Overnight Care
We offer overnights for dogs and cats. Although most of our pets feel comfortable knowing they are checked on regularly throughout the period you are out-of-town, half-hour pet sitting visits, and even multiple per day, might not be adequate for your pet care needs. Some pets might not be accustomed to being left alone overnight while other pets become destructive and howl or meow if they are alone during nighttime hours. Puppies also need extra attention and opportunities to relieve themselves throughout the night as they become potty trained.
