Former client - I called 2 weeks ago to inquire on current pricing. It had been some time since my last visit. I left multiple messages.
No return. I called Melissa's 2nd chances (sister company) and they explained company was bought out and there are new owners. I gave grace for more time to return my call. I then sent an email requesting information on a booking. Still no response for weeks. Today (10/17/23) I received a "confirmation" of my booking. I was alarmed because I had not booked, nor spoken to anyone. I attempted to call and received a lady that answered. She sounded like she was in a tunnel. She couldn't hear me and hung up. I called a 2nd time, she very ugly stated to me, "I can't hear you." I asked her to hold on so I could switch my phone from car-speaker to headset. She hung up. I called a 3rd time. Same woman answered. I said, "I am trying to get some help." She stated, "It's your phone." I explained, "Noone else has complained about it." (While trying to adjust my phone to accomodate) She then laughed and proceeded to hang up again. I called back a 4th time and got the answering machine. I left a message that I was not happy and I was calling because I had not received a call from weeks ago then all of a sudden a "booking confirmation" appears. She replied with this message:

Hello there,
I got your voicemail, which by the way had you cutting in and out on it as well, implying it is your phone, and I have cancelled your reservation here. I, also, wanted to let you know that WE did NOT make this reservation. It came over via our website, which only the customers can book. Most people choose to book online anyway so they can reserve according to their needs and update records and such.
In the future, you might try being nice when you want something, because you never know what a business is going through. We give our all to care for other people's pets so they don't have to worry about them while they are here.

NEVER again will I do business with this unprofessional company. It's a shame - the "old" Melissa's Minegerie was quite nice.

Our pekingese, Audrey, loves going to daycare! The staff there are so sweet with her. Audrey enjoys playing with old and new friends and comes home completely worn out! If you need daycare or boarding for your 4-legged kids, I highly recommend Melissa’s Menagerie. Melissa has amazing staff that love your babies as much as she does. My Toby loves his time there.

great daycare and boarding. Lots of interaction and play. Work with a lot of different types of dogs. I also do fosters and like to take them to Melissa's to see how they do in a variety of settings and get great feedback.

They took great care of my little Pomeranian. He was kept separate from the bigger dogs and seemed to have plenty of human attention. We don't leave him very often and it was great to see them post photos of him on FB each day. I even called to check on him at one point and they were happy to give me a report. He came home clean and it seemed like he had been well treated. They also sent home his extra leftover food and snacks. He even won a "dog of the week" goodie bag! I like that they are open for you to pick up your pet until 7:00 p.m. We will use Melissa's Menagerie again if we have to go out of town. More...

I’ve got nothing but love for Melissa’s Menagarie! They’ve always been super helpful and friendly - even during holiday rushes. I walked a few dogs for a local rescue that was boarding dogs at Melissa’s. The staff was always incredibly accommodating and would let me know the mood of the dog I was walking that day. I adopted my dog from Melissa’s Menagerie Second Chances. He’s a young guy with a TON of energy, and I live in an apartment. Without a place to run and play off leash, he gets pretty anxious. After a day of play, Archie is exhausted in the best way possible. The people there are so kind, and they all clearly love my little guy. He had to have emergency surgery and, while recovering, they sent him a get well card! It feels like a family, and Melissa’s Menagerie is definitely our saving grace! More...

Just took our baby for her first day of daycare! I’ve been working from home for 12 weeks and I want to avoid separation problems down the road when I return to work. Daycare seemed like a win win! She was nervous at first but every single staff member was so welcoming and caring! I felt totally comfortable leaving her for a full day. Once she warmed up, she played all day! This is the only place We trust to board or take my girl for daycare. They interact and let the dogs play. It is important for dogs to hang out with their own kind at least once in a while. . As a first time dog owner and inexperienced daycare customer I was very worried my dog would not receive enough human attention. Ryker is very human-oriented and is a major people pleaser. So, I wanted to find a daycare that does NOT lock dogs in a room with an attendant on the other side of a glass door staring at their phone. While waiting a month to get Ryker to full health, I followed multiple daycares on social media to see what kind of human interaction the dogs would get. This was our girl's first time in a social kennel... we'd only boarded her at the vet before. Catching glimpses of her in videos helped our own separation anxiety and reassured us she wasn't at all miserable. She played so hard inside and outside at Melissa's that once she got home, she passed out on her bed before finishing the bully stick I got her as an apology.
