This is the best food truck in the northern hemisphere, the thought of "Roma in a Hole", the most delicious meatball elixir I have ever tasted, brings my mouth to a watery mess. I follow them everywhere, I will seek them out for an excellent meal often. Not the mention the amazing people, always a fun time, no visit is ever disappointing. Enjoyed the meatball sandwiches today at Truck and taps in Duluth. I enjoyed the spicy version the Pompeii. It was delicious. The roll is fresh and the marina is perfect. It was the spiciest meatball sandwich I ever tasted. The rest of my party had the Roma. A straight forward meatball. You can have it with bread like a sandwich or in a tray. Holy Wow, we stumbled upon this food truck at Alive in Roswell and I have been dreaming about these balls ever since. The Pompeii on a Bed is absolutely delicious with a homemade tomato sauce, perfectly cooked pasta, and a delicious garlic boule bread. Thankfully, we found Cara and her delicious balls again today because I needed more Meatballerz in my life. If you have a hankering for something sweet, I also highly recommend the Unicorn Fritters. Read about this place on Yelp and after seeing the pictures, I knew I had to find them.. right away. You can call or check their social media to see their location for the day. You choose the type of meatball you want, then how you want your meatball (in a sandwich, with pasta, etc etc). I went with the Skinny Italian, which is ground turkey with fennel seed, on a bed of pasta.The turkey meatball was cooked perfectly with giant burst of flavor in every bite, served with probably the best garlic bread I've ever had. I will say pasta was actually quite a bit of food so I think I'm going to try the sandwich next time. Crinkle fries were taken to another level with their addictive cheese mix sprinkle; Lastly, the Unicorn fritters were so good I inhaled them in minutes after my first bite and I'm not even sorry. Absolutely delish! Everything on the menu is fabulous from the Pompeii to the fritters. They have vegetarian options too, plus cheese pizza if you have picky eaters in tow. We live in Duluth and get so excited when we see the Meatballerz truck pull in to the Truck and Tap, the food is totally craveable. Absolutely delicious, great experience!Meatballerz is located inside of Truck & Tap in downtown Alpharetta. Luckily because I went on an early Sunday afternoon there was plenty of parking on the street in front of Truck & Tap. However, I could see these spaces being taken during any other time.I was greeted by the bartender who explained that my server would be by to take my order and was given a menu. The place wasn't too busy, but there were two tables already seated. Cathy came out and introduced herself (sweetest woman) and made some suggestions. I ordered the Pompeii sandwhich and a glass of wine. Meatballerz only serves food, so the wine was under a separate tab by T&T. Less than 10 minutes later I had a fresh/hot meatball sandwhich to accompany my delicious glass of wine. The bread was so incredibly soft and fresh tasting, the meatball was pretty spicy yet very flavorful (I was warned that they use several different types of spicy peppers) and the sauce was delicious, with plenty of melty mozzarella cheese. Cathy also brought out a fritter for me to try, they had the unicorn flavor as the special. Picture a soft delicious vanilla birthday cake doughnut with sweet drizzled icing. Yesss...I would definitely come back again to try other items and may get the Pompeii again if feeling the need for spice. They do have milder sausage/meat options available. The "ball in the hole" might be the best meatball sandwich I've ever had. This is coming from a guy with a lifetime of meatball sandwiches below his belt, so to speak. The bread was so fresh, and with a perfect texture. The meatball choices (we tried the one that was just beef, and the one that was half beef and half hot Italian sausage) were great. They bust up the meatball a bit, so you're not gnawing at it. The whole thing is sauced with just the right amount of flavorful tomato sauce, and then has a nice bit of cheese melted over it. Really, if your thinking about trying Meatballerz, just do it. I got the "Not a meatball" The sandwich was humbling. I have NEVER had anything from this truck that did not shatter the ceiling of my expectations. The owner and the staff of this food truck are more like friends than just staff you buy food from. When I hear the word MEATBALLERZ... I get excited. Wonderful drunk food. Pretty much any place open at 3:30 AM on the side of the road is a win in my books but these Meatball" were especially tasty. Couple that with the cheap drinks next door and you've got a winning ticket. I got two meatballerz meatballs for about $14.
