I've worked with her on 3 different shoots, including my wedding and the story of our day couldn't have been better told. She captured everything so so perfectly and everyone who have seen the photos are completely overwhelmed, too! Simply put, Meagan is incredibly talented. Taking photos can be awkward and uncomfortable if you've never done it before, but Meagan made Kyle and I feel incredibly comfortable during our engagement photo shoot and by the time our wedding came around, it was an effortless, fun and comfortable experience. I kid you not, EVERYONE that has seen our wedding pictures ranted and raved about them. I have never felt more beautiful than I did working with Meagan. Kyle and I have an insane amount of photos that we love and will cherish forever. Lastly, Meagan came down to Florida and we did a fitness shoot around Tampa, not only was that a BLAST but the pictures were awesome. It's taken nearly 9 months to write up this review because every time I try I start by looking at the extraordinary pictures Meagan took of our wedding, and then 6 hours of my life are gone and I'm crying with happiness. So here goes.Pictures first: These are, hands down, the best pictures we've ever had. Of course they are because they are our wedding photos, but more than that, they are deeply honest portraits of a day full of joy, silliness, deep affection, and earnest commitment. Meagan's journalistic, candid-forward style let us see what everything really looked like that day--there are no airy filters or funny color balances, and yet the whole scene is utterly gorgeous. They are, more than anything else, authentic. And they are compelling. We look like ourselves, not like airbrushed dolls, and yet every single shot is somehow a perfect angle. Like I said, every time I try to write about them I end up staring at them instead. And then running to my husband to tell him how much I love him.Working with Meagan was, likewise, an absolute dream. She is someone I who wish I had more excuses to keep in my life--she is a great collaborator with a keen creative eye and a wonderful way of keeping clients at ease. She was a huge asset to the wedding day, helping us to wrangle family and caterers, and even buying a steamer on the way to the venue to help with a last-minute dress problem. I also got my wedding lipstick color from seeing the shade she was wearing during a meeting, after 3 unsuccessful trips to Sephora. (Yes, the lipstick was perfect, too.) Meagan's pricing structure is totally transparent and upsell-free, and we got so much more than we were expecting in terms of day-of service, as well as time planning and working through a couple of tricky family questions. I found Meagan though the happiest accident of the wedding--she shares studio space with my dressmaker--and she even provided pictures of dress fittings, which I will cherish forever. The photos were delivered ahead of schedule and there were TONS of them, and the download interface is very easy to access. Meagan is the best. Her photos are the best. (Seriously, have you seen her website? Go look at her portfolio. It's not just me.) If you want beautiful pictures and great memories of getting them, stop looking and contact her. Meagan came all the way to Florida to take our engagement photos. She made us feel so comfortable, and we had an absolute BLAST. She also came all the way to Mexico for our wedding. Meagan did our Harry Potter themed wedding in October of 2017. She was amazing. Not only did the perfect engagement photos but there was not one wedding photo we didn’t like. Everyone who has seen them has loved each and every one. Meagan was efficient and extremely helpful on the day as well. One of my bridesmaids who is getting married loved my photos so much that she has hired Meagan. Do not go cheap on your wedding photos since they are your memories. Meagan saved our engagement photo shoot and we LOVED the pictures (and her). Our engagement photographer from out of town bailed on us last minute and with our busy schedules and her being out of town, it was going to be hellish to reschedule. I put out a call on Facebook for local photographers and SO many people tagged and recommended Meagan. She responded quickly and was available THE NEXT DAY. We happened to live 2 blocks away from each other, so that was also great. Her pictures are almost as wonderful as her personality. Meagan did an engagement session for my husband and I. She did a fantastic job not only recommending possible sites for us to be photographed, but also in creating a relaxed atmosphere. We were able to be ourselves, have fun, hang out as two love birds for a few hours, and come out of it with beautiful photos. I really appreciated her candid approach to the session. Both my husband and I would have felt awkward posing for picture after picture of staged scenery and planned poses. Meagan was even up for a challenge, allowing us to bring our two dogs along and get them included in some shots. We have four of Meagan's photos hanging in high visibility spots in our house now. I will forever cherish the photos Meagan Jordan took of my family. I met Meagan nearly a decade ago and was immediately taken with the emotion she was able to capture in her documentary work, so it was no surprise to me when she later expanded upon her photo-journalistic style to include family portraiture.
