I really like McAlister's, the food is always good and the tea is very good. I'm giving this particular restaurant 4 instead of 5 because this past February my daughter and I were served a moldy bread bowl and didn't know it until we had eaten the soup. I was horrified. The manager at that time was nonchalant and only refunded my meal and not my daughters. She appeared to be annoyed that I was distressed. Saying "Well what do you want me to do?" Bad! I cautiously revisited during the free tea day and had a good experience. So I'm hoping this person doesn't manage this restaurant anymore. I just try not to think of this experience because generally I really like this chain. More...

One of my favorite lunch spots is the McAlister's Deli in Turkey Creek. Lots of choices with reasonable prices. After ordering at the counter, your food is delivered to your table promptly. I usually have the Choose Two combination. The quality is consistent. One of their claims to fame is the Southern style iced tea. I also recommend the Oak Ridge location, but was very disappointed with the Dean Hill outlet when I ate there a few years ago. More...
