Maxson Fitness offers one on one training, online and in my training studio. I specialize in multiple training styles, including: balance, coordination, strength, flexibility, cardiovascular and core conditioning. I incorporate a blend of training and conditioning styles suited for each individual, taking into account their current level of fitness, nutrition and lifestyle. In some cases, training through Skype or Facetime are also an option.

Jen is amazing and I’m so glad I found her. She is flexible with scheduling and she’s a genius at making accommodations for physical limitations clients have while exercising—very knowledgeable about physiology, anatomy, and exercise science and is also constantly learning by taking courses to stay up to date and to keep workouts interesting for clients. She doesn’t rely heavily on equipment which I like; we use simple equipment and let the body do the work. I’m never bored since she mixes up things and is always collaborative—she creates workout plans with her clients’ input rather than dictating what they need. She learns what clients want to work on and prioritizes that and reassesses as we go along. I was nervous to take this step of hiring a personal trainer because I hadn't been taking care of myself, but I needed to do something to get back on track with my physical well-being. I knew we'd be starting at the very beginning and I was in the habit of being hard on myself for getting to where I was. From day one, Jen took me out of that self-shaming place and helped me set realistic goals. She's been practical and flexible, and I already feel so much stronger and healthier.
Even with this whole stay-at-home situation, we haven't missed a beat. She does sessions with me over Facetime, and it's no joke! Take it from me - if she tells you to have a hand towel ready for the workout, also make sure you have some Epsom salts for a muscle-soothing bath later ;-) The structure and the movement is exactly what I need to help me cope with this strange time we find ourselves in.

Getting the body of your dreams, or the best quality of life possible for you, requires proper nutrition, a workout regime that is best suited for you, and well rounded balance in life.
What inspired you to start your own business?
At the risk of sounding trite and cliché, I really care and am passionate about making a difference. The driving force behind my studio and my very PERSONAL personal training is that I've witnessed far too many loved ones’ health and mobility fail, or increasing weight become a detriment to good health, to not do something about it for others. I love working with clients of all ages, shapes and sizes, I'm really on a mission to keep our community healthy,strong, independent and mobile.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Only one client is in the studio at an given time. All equipment used is cleaned and sanitized in between clients.
