Matt Cadabra LLC

I am the director of a preschool and called Matt in a pinch because the magician that we booked for our summer camp program cancelled on us last minute. Matt was at my school in less than an hour with all his equipment and ready to go.  This is saying a lot because he had everything, including a bunny,a dove and a blue sequin jacket.  Matt was funny, and the kids had a great time. I could hear roars of laughter throughout the school as I was sitting at the front desk.  At the end of the show, he allowed all of the kids to pet the animals as well.  The illusions and comedy in this show were not only appropriate for children, but could totally be tweaked for adults.  I found myself laughing at many portions of  the show as well.  We will totally use him again in the future. I found Matt's show for children totally appropriate, entertaining and so enjoyable for adults TOO- I actually stole the party idea from a girlfriend who used Matt for her sons birthday bc I thought it was the greatest show! Matt is a great magician but what I want to really addd is that he ENTERTAINS and keeps the kids (a group of kindergarters) AND the adults both laughing which IFind a challenging skill to appeal to children and adults at the same time- he was loved by the kids and the adults. Matt is professional and reliable and very entertaining. He was hired for a wedding to entertain the kids (30-40 kids) The groom loved magic so he was tapped for an additional impromptu magic show one-on-one for the groom too! This speaks to his professionalism, flexibility, dedication. He was easy to contact and work with. He was self contained, didn't ask for anything. He was prepared, on time, did his thing, and everyone was very pleased. Thank you Matt. OMG!! We had Matt for our 5 year old's birthday party today. He truly MADE the party. Children and adults alike were laughing and squealing the whole time. So many parents came up to me afterwards and raved about how wonderful Matt was. He tailored the show to the audience, and then stayed to make balloon animals for all the children. My son hired Matt for my two-year old grandson's birthday party. Matt was hired with his Magic and Ventriloquism show for our facility's special event for National Nursing Home Week. Our residents went WILD for him. Having never hired a magician for our residents before I admit I was a little unsure of how they would react to his show. Not only did the residents adore him, but our staff did as well! His act was PACKED with such a wide variety and his easy-going personality helped him adapt quickly and efficiently to our crowd. WHAT A CHAMP. Matt was the perfect fit for your party. I wanted to surprise my wife with something fun, a humorous "magical" experience conducted by a thoughtful performer. .. Matt delivered on this wish. The tricks he had ranged from ridiculously simple (purposefully and comedically so) to legitimately impressive. He got almost everyone involved and he had everyone in stitches at one point or another during the show. Matt was great at communicating and tailored the show to the audience - mostly young adults and a few very young kids. We aren't into balloon gags or ventriloquism, and Matt gratefully obliged our request not to do either. I hired Matt with less than 2 weeks notice for my daughter's communion party.  Having never hired a magician before I didn't know what to expect, but Matt put all my worries to rest with his professional and quick correspondence.  Upon arrival he was discreet and polite and set up without any inconvenience to my guests.  His performance was appropriate for the age groups in attendance and he managed to captivate and engage the whole audience for close to a full hour.  Matt was patient with the youngest children, humorous enough to entertain the oldest grumpy men, and kind enough to incorporate many of the children and guests in his act.  There was a live bunny, a live dove, and a ventriloquism dummy as part of the show...all were great! The guest of honor was given almost an apprentice position in the performance which made her feel very special. Matt was generous in his pricing as I am comparison shopped and he was far more affordable than others who offered less in their shows. I also found him to be gracious rather than entitled which is an admirable quality in service professionals.  As a teacher I can respect and appreciate anyone who chooses to work with children as their career. I noticed how he managed to include all of them and I commend him for it. His props, costumes, balloon making skills, charm, and corny yet intelligent wit are exactly what I was hoping for and I recommend hiring him to anyone. More...

I hired Matt for a variety show at a over 55 community. He came with his own sound system and musical soundtrack. The audience loved him. I recommend Matt for audiences of ages. His magic was impressive and had the audience in awe and laughing. More...

Matt did an amazing job with our son's first birthday! We made it clear to him that we wanted our 5 year old daughter to be the star of his act and he even did a special trick with her. She was so happy! She couldn't stop talking about it! The children laughed so hard during the performance and my 30 year old brother laughed even harder! The act was professional, appropriate and extremely entertaining for both children and adults. It didn't drag out at all and everyone couldn't believe how fast that hour went by! This guy is amazing!!!!! I can't understand the bad reviews! Matt put on a show for my 7 year old son's birthday party which was goosebump themed mainly focusing on slappy the dummy. He focused his ventriloquist act on that theme which made it that much more awesome! The entire show fromStart to finish was awesome! Every single guest at my party wanted his card and wanted to hire him for their own party. I've actually hired ventriloquist magicians for other parties that had previously worked with the circus and this guy was way better. His prices were also very fair. Fantastic job Matt Cadabra! Matt Cadabra put on a great show for my son's 5th birthday party.  From the start he communicated well and he was very reliable.  Matt made sure to stay in contact before the event and he was very flexible and willing to accommodate my special request.  The boys loved his jokes and he did a great job of dealing with the 5 year old "hecklers", LOL!  The kids really enjoyed seeing the rabbit being pulled out of a hat and the ventriloquism!  The balloon twisting was also a hit.  Matt twisted star wars themed balloons to go along with out party theme.  Matt also threw in a few funny, but appropriate jokes for the parents in the audience.  I would recommend Matt or your entertainment needs.  Be specific in what you are looking for so that you are on the same page.  Matt and I spoke about the negative YELP reviews and after our conversation I was confident that he would do a great job. The birthday boy also felt very special because Matt included him in much of the magic show. He even gave my son a 1 million dollar bill with President Obama! We hired Matt to entertain guests at our home for our anniversary party. He arrived on time and was courteous, appropriate, and professional. He did some walk around magic and then we gathered our guests for an hour show. He was magical and funny and corny and sweet and endearing. I used Matt for a 40th birthday party with over 100 guests.  He was prompt, courteous and professional. He mingled with the guests providing roaming and table magic. Everybody loved him! I will be using him again this year for a graduation party for which he is doing a show for the kids during the graduation speeches and then magic tricks while mingling with adult guests.  I have no reservations with hiring Matt again.
