Massage Envy - Scottsdale Thomas

I came in for the first time today and had a 60 minute massage with Sharon. It was awesome. I sit at a computer for 8-9 hours a day and my neck was in bad shape.  I am very busy at work and have to remind myself to get up periodically and walk around.  My neck and shoulders have become very tight, painful, and having lots of headaches.  I can't find a comfortable pillow.  Sharon was the perfect person for this!  Necks are her specialty!  She worked out the knots using just the right combination of pressure and technique.  I have less pain already and it has dramatically improved my range of motion.  I intend to come back for a few more treatments.  If you sit at a computer for long periods of time, and are having similar issues, I would definitely recommend her! I truly had the best massage experience here yesterday. No BS with consent forms/ questions and they were very accommodating when I needed a next day appointment (Paul is who I spoke on the phone with I believe). I have had extreme shoulder and neck pain and Cynthia was the best masseuse I've ever had. She listened to my issues, helped work out the inflammation and gave me at home care Instructions/ what to expect afterwards. This is the best Massage Envy location I've been too. Not sure if ME has improved in customer service and making you feel very valued from 5-10 years ago, or if the Scottsdale and Thomas Rd location just happens to be pros at this kind of service. This location rocks!I became a member about four months ago, and I have not regretted it. I've had all great massages by Carlos, Shiva and today by Luisana. I've purposely been trying out different folks just to see who fits me the best. While they have all been very good massages and there were things I really liked very much by each person - I must say that Luisana's massage and personality was outstanding for me. I can't wait to see her again in August - it's already booked. Today I also treated myself and my teenage daughter to facials with Kameron. Oh yes! This was outstanding too! It was soooo relaxing and included two masks and a fabulous massage on our hands, arms and shoulders. She extracted more blackheads than I thought I could have ever had. Plus, I loved her personality too boot!  Now I'm torn between getting massages and facials regularly. I might have to just do both.For Massage Envy in general, the only thing I would like better is if I booked for 60 or 90 minutes, I wish I would get exactly that amount of massage or facial time. They subtract 10 minutes for prep before and after. I suppose the employees need the time inbetween to walk people out, get them a cup of water, and then to clean up the room between sessions. Maybe even take a short and well-deserved break. I can see ending 5 minutes early for that, but when we're ready to start, it doesn't take 5-plus minutes to get undressed and on the table. They also take a few minutes to talk before leaving the room to ensure they know what is desired. Today when I got on that table I thought that Luisana might be in the hallway, right there waiting for me, so I said, "I'm ready" loud enough for her to hear. It's the first time I thought to do this. She came right in, said, "that was fast" in her friendly tone, and got to work. Loved it. I've had others who seemed to be gone quite a while before coming back in the room while I got on the table.Not having a clock right there, I really couldn't say for sure.  Before I end, I must compliment all of the front desk staff as well. After experiencing this location four times and interacting with quite a few of the staff, I can honestly say everyone has treated me great; has made outstanding recommendations; and haven't been too high-pressure on sales. I'd like to start off by saying this is a great location.  The staff is very polite and friendly.  I have been a member for about a year now. I've had their wonderful massages.  I also had preferred male massage therapists up until recently.  A staff member recommended Shiva.  She is excellent.  Thorough, strong, great personality, Shiva is a great massage therapist. I also highly recommend getting a chemical peel, facial or microdermabrasion by Chase.  He is very gentle, knowledgeable about procedures as well as products he uses while giving you the best personal care.  He also has a wonderful personality and I look forward to seeing him.  Management is responsive and handled my return of a product that my skin had a reaction to with no issues at all.  All around a pleasant experience for me.   Thank you for your services!! I had my first prenatal massage today with Carlos. It was excellent. He made me feel very comfortable and relaxed during the entire process. He applied the right amount of pressure, worked my entire body and was sensitive to areas that I had no idea were particular with a pregnancy massage. This Massage Envy has a very nice facility but I mostly want to comment on how great Luisana is! I was so impressed with her. She was professional, respectful and gave me the most perfect, therapeutic massage. The exact pressure I need for my tight neck & back and other areas of tension. I started getting weekly massages with Bobby to tend to an SI joint injury. He has been incredibly helpful and attentive to my injury. I have had an account with Massage Envy for several years now and I have been to many locations, both in Arizona and out of state. This location is gorgeous and every massage therapist I have seen has been wonderful. However Roberto (I think he prefers Bobby but in the system and whatnot its Roberto - so you know who to ask for when you make an appointment ;)  ) takes the cake. I have now had three sessions with him and every one was exactly what I needed.  He has greatly reduced my pain and tension in my back and neck, he really is fantastic at finding pressure points. I know that there is no one I would rather see at this location - Bobby's that good! have been going to Massage Envy for years, and this is so conveniently close from my apartment so I always walk out happy, but my last masseuse, Imelda, took care of me very well. I work at a sit down job for 10 hours and I am also a runner, so  my body is getting much more sensitive. This Massage Envy location is fantastic. I have tried several massage therapists my favorite is Carlos. He always listens to my requests and alters the massage to accommodate pain and/or soreness. The front desk staff is always exceptional. I guess piercings and having colored hair doesn't bother me. I try to judge people based on service. I have been here for 2 massages and 2 facials since they opened last month, so far so good! The waiting room is by far the nicest of any Massage Envy I have been to, and that is a lot of Massage Envy's. Today when I had my 90 minute massage I left feeling more relaxed then I have ever felt after a massage, needless to say it's the best relaxation massage I have ever had!!
