Came in for a late lunch. Comfortable decor, great service. Ordered a shrimp linguini and al pastor naked burrito. Excellent dishes, shrimp perfectly cooked with bread that was the right level of crunch.. just

Very accomdating for a large party for a birthday. Service was excellent. Didn't really eat as I came from another event myself but I heard no complaints from anyone.

My girlfriend and I were visiting friends and stumbled onto this place. It is an absolute Gem! The $5 sangria rivaled ones I’ve had in Barcelona and the cheese board is unreal. It was so good we did a little mini catering for our friends. The service is fun, professional and a total joy. If your close by, definitely come in. More...

George, the owner, is great. The service is phenomenal. He goes above and beyond in all aspects. We went in for a quick bite and ended up staying for several glasses of sangria (which is to die for and better than a lot of the sangria I had while in Barcelona)! Absolute must to stop in for food and sangria! You definitely need to do the cheese platter. He caters for events also, so keep this place in mind! More...

Having recently moved to Brisbane we have been actively seeking a nice "city" quality restaurant near by. After trying many South San Francisco eateries we found out about Mangiare near Candlestick Point. George (the owner and chef) was so informative and friendly, the decor was good but the food...well the food was well beyond our expectations! Well thought out and crafted dishes blending many southern Mediterranean cultural flavors to produce exquisite delights for the palate. Do not miss the best ever flan for dessert! More...

Great little hidden gem that we found on our way into the city from the airport. George was delightful and had great recommendations. Food was top notch and the wine recommendation was fantastic too. I look forward to trying it again on the way home. More...

Simply amazing. The food was fantastic. We found this place while visiting and highly recommend it. In particular, i recommend the flat bread, cauliflower, artichoke tapas, and the pasta dish. Really enjoyed both nights we came here. More...

Don't know how this place stays open. Very few customers. The food is good and the menu change frequently. The owner is not there all the time. But the person/chef who is there is pretty good. If you want something not on the menu he will try to to fix it for you. More...

A good place to sit and have a beer close to the bay. Also the pizza wasn't half bad either.

The food was excellent, the service even better. You can tell they take pride in this place. Top compliments to the chef! The seafood pasta was exactly what I wanted to enjoy after a day touring the city . The goat cheese falafel was a nice twist to a favorite. I needed a quick bite to feed the kids near our hotel and away from tourist traps yet and interesting local fare. Thank you guys for taking care of my family! The beer selection even impressed the husband. We'll see you again next time we're in the bay area! More...

Wanted a quick meal (kind of) near the airport before my flight. My friend suggested this place and it looked good to me. I got the duck sandwich and it was pretty good . The duck was tender, but there was too much mustard and the bread wasn’t really toasted. The greens mixed in whatever dressing they had in the sandwich was good though and so were the fries.Overall, it’s kind of hidden in the Candlestick Park residential area, but it’s a decent place to grab a bite. This place is great for lunch (I haven't been here for dinner yet), which is convenient, because there aren't many other choices around this somewhat sleepy residential/white color business area of San Francisco. Friendly service, good decor, excellent cleanliness, fast and free Wi-Fi, two HD Tvs in the bar area, and, of course, excellent Mediterranean food definitely make Mangiare worth stopping by. They definitely have beer and wine, but I am uncertain if they serve cocktails or mixed drinks.Mangiare is just 2-3 blocks off of the freeway (just west of the former Candlestick Stadium) and fairly convenient if you are heading in either direction on Hwy. 101. It is definitely a good place to stop if you're starving after a plane ride into SFO and want to grab a bite before heading into the heart of the city. One small drawback is that finding parking during lunch hours on weekdays can be challenging. You may need to walk a block or so, but it is a safe area with sidewalks and thus not a deal-breaker.If you aren't in the mood to dine in and enjoy the atmosphere, one can just stop in to the bakery/cafe area of the restaurant and pick up something to go. You might want to bring your meal a couple blocks down the street for a picnic in the Candlestick recreation area and enjoy your snack or meal on picnic tables while taking in some good views of the bay and the constant air traffic arriving and departing from SFO. Enjoyed the food, drinks and most of all - the ambience - it was perfect for the Christmas party! George and his team were amazing with balancing drink orders, passing appetizers around and ensuring dinner was prepped well for everyone to enjoy. I highly recommend this venue!

The seafood pasta was absolutely spectacular. I travel to the area often and stay near the airport. This will be the first stop of many. Park across the street and you'll won't be disappointed. Ask for George to read you the menu. More...
