Brian is amazing and so are his products. Love Makeover Workshop! I have done makeup parties with Brian and worked with him individually. Brian is so knowledgeable. At the makeup party I attended we were allowed to apply our own makeup, guided by Brian of course, which is really the only way to learn. It's great when someone else does our makeup but we really have to learn how to do our own right? I learned so many new tips and tricks from him. Individual sessions with Brian are wonderful as well! I had a WONDERFUL session with Brian, our schedules meshed so that I was able to get his full attention 1:1 for a private session on my wedding anniversary on May 5th!  I had some experience with makeup, but he was so encouraging and willing to share simple changes to my approach, whether it was holding tools differently, or showing me how to tightline my upper lash line so that I didn't feel like I was jabbing myself, and really fine-tuning the small movements that make such a difference.I finally learned how to contour my face to bring out my cheekbones, and he shaped my brows for me, explaining as he went along, about where to best place the arch for my eye shape and face shape.  My husband was THRILLED when he saw me, and I was feeling very pretty for the first time in a long while.I was happy to spend some money on products to take home, and just placed an order for more, because the quality and results are really amazing.  I had very large stubborn bags under my newly hooded eyes from several years of illness and medications, and the Pro-Youth Eye Treatment has ELIMINATED the bags completely in less than 10 days, and the wrinkles are already fading!  The hooded portion above the eye crease is minimized even without makeup.  I can feel the Pro-Youth Lip treatment working also, and I'm beginning to notice that my lip line has regained some definition.I'll be adding more of his products over time, the cream blush is beautiful, easy to blend and looks very natural, the eyeshadows are creamy and highly pigmented and blend like a dream, the gel lipliners are completely amazing, and the tinted primer was so pretty and dimensional that I almost didn't need any actual foundation, and it covered my rosacea!  Nothing set off my sensitive skin, eyes or multiple allergies, and he was SO conscientious about checking all of his ingredients and doing swatch tests, I felt very much at home with him from beginning to end.  I'll be back next time I'm in LA for sure! I was referred to Brian by Susan/ une femme d'un certain âge whose hair, makeup and style I admire greatly particularly since we are the same age. Susan had gone from a chin length bob to an adorable pixie cut and I loved her new look soooo much that I contacted her and asked who did her hair (knowing she was in the same area as I.) I made an appointment post haste with Brian for a cut, color and makeup lesson. The end result was fabulous! He is a master with the scissors and with color, and the makeup lesson taught me a few tricks that helped make this 50+ woman look her best. Money and time well spent especially because Brian is also charming, personable and made me feel very at home in his hair/makeup studio. Highly recommend. More...

I attended the makeover workshop and thought it was great! Like many people, I have never actually learned how to put on makeup.   Brian gave me a lot of practical tips that I can use on a daily basis.  Best of all, he teaches you how to do it yourself so that you can do it at home.  When we were done, it totally didnt look like I had makeup caked on, I just look like a better, prettier me! Brian is AMAZING!  He did a makeover workshop for my sister's bachelorette party and it was definitely a highlight of the weekend.  There were 8 of us girls and he gave us SO many tips and tricks for applying makeup perfectly.  He taught us how to do eyes, how to apply lashes, and how to use contouring and highlighting.  Not only is he an expert makeup artist, but he's also a great teacher.  He anticipated our questions and when we made mistakes he taught us how to fix them.  All of us were oohing and awing at the tips and at the results.  I had my makeup done by a professional for my wedding and I think it was the best I've ever looked, but when I was done with Brian's workshop, I thought that my makeup looked just as good as it had on my wedding day, and I'd done it myself!  We learned so much and we had a great time in the process!  Brian was very accommodating and easy to get in touch with when I was trying to schedule.  He was very professional, and I highly recommend his workshops! I met Brian at the photo shoot for people magazine after I appeared on the TV show The Biggest Loser! He did my hair and make up and I LOVED IT so much that when working for BL Body I requested Brian be my personal stylist for every appearance! He is not only knowledgeable, but such an amazing talent! Being an esthetician and former make up artist myself (picky is an understatement) I was always impressed and pleased with his work! To top it off he is a very caring, giving, fun friend as well! You can not go wrong by having Brian teach you his craft! You will LOVE IT! More...
