Even though the kids kept reminding me I put off ordering my wife's birthday cake until the last min. I called Maka Paka after searching Yelp with 3 days to spare and spoke to Melissa. Based on the picture of the Don Julio cake I asked if she could make a cake that looked like my wife's favorite beverage bottle. Melissa asked for a photo of the bottle and she is such a perfectionist that she wanted multiple angles so she could work the bend in the bottle the exact same way. The cake blew me away and everyone we shared the photo with!! Oh and when I went to pick up the cake and we couldn't get it stable in my trunk Melissa rode home with me holding the cake! We had such an amazing experience with this bakery. My daughter just had her third birthday recently, and Melissa made the most adorable cake for her. The cake looked exactly like what we had communicated about. Â Everything from the order placement to the delivery went with ease and I was one happy momma. I called multiple bakeries in Dallas to order a cake for my mom. After calling almost all bakeries in dallas/plano area and devastated that fondant cakes cost way more than I expected, I finally found Melissa. She was the nicest, most caring baker who also offered half of what other bakeries asked for. I volunteered to pay all the cost up front because I knew right away I could trust her (she needs money to go buy the supplies before starting). She kept me updated, did exactly (if not above and beyond) what I asked for. My mom loved the cake and I can't thank Melissa enough. She is truly the hidden gem among other bakeries who try to rip you off. Definitely ordering all my cakes from Maka paka from now on! Thank you!! More...

Maka is absolutely amazing ! I had my baker cancel on me 3 days before my nieces birthday party! I went to 5 different custom cake bakeries and they all declined due to timing, Said there was no way they could achieve the design I wanted in such short time. Luckily, strolling I found Maka and when I called her she told me she would do my cake and that she loves a challenge!!! First of all she saved my butt  and secondly the cake was absolutely amazing and tasty too!! I 100% recommend Maka for any custom cake! Thank you again Maka! More...

I couldn't be more pleased with the beautiful custom cake Melissa created for my son's birthday! Found this bakery by searching on yelp and the reviews did not lie. Melissa did a phenomenal job, I provided a picture of the design and her execution was excellent and not only was this cake beautiful it also tasted really good.

I was tasked with finding a birthday cake for my boss and was pleasantly pleased with finding Melissa and the Maka Paka Bakery. Melissa was absolutely wonderful from the moment I first made contact and gracious all the way through to delivery and setup. She was quick to respond during the initial cake design process and created one of the coolest cakes I've ever seen. Not only did Melissa perfect every detail but the cake tasted AMAZING!! A number of people in the office commented on how a lot of times you see a gorgeous cake but flavor is sacrificed for a detailed exterior. This cake was SO GOOD!! The German chocolate was unbelievably delicious! I look forward to the next opportunity to work with Melissa and experience other yummy flavors she has to offer. Thank you SO much Melissa!
