What a fantastic meal we had last night and the service could not have been better. The entire staff was courteous and friendly from the time we arrived until we walked out the door! !! I cannot say enough good things about the food and the staff. I had been following them on here since before they opened. The posts cannot do it justice . I had the stew. The seafood was cooked perfectly but the broth made it special. I could sit with a bowl of that.broth and the bread and be totally happy. My mom had the mahi mahi Ruben. 10 out of 5 stars. The chef is out of the outer Banks league. The staff is accommodating and friendly. Started with the meatball app which was out of this world. Hubs had a melt in your mouth pork chop while I slopped up the best broth I've ever had enjoying the fisherman's seafood stew. The place has been open since May, 2021. It is normally a tough proposition to open a restaurant much less than in the middle of a “pandemic”. They have succeeded ten fold. The staff is friendly and efficient. Any request was met with prompt service. Everyone seemed to be working together. It’s a shame when a place like this serves good food and provides good service, that they feel they have to blast the music. We asked 3 times for the music to be lowered, which they did for a few minutes, and then each time they raised it. Eating out is not just the food. We had the most wonderful experience at Mahi Mahi's Island grill tonight. From the warm welcome from the two hostesses, to the first sip of my lemon blueberry fizz drink special (amazing! ), to the calamari with the creamy lemon caper sauce and finally we both ordered the shrimp & grits (no joke that its an award winning dish!!!), but aside from the amazing food, Breanna our waitress was exceptional.. attending to our needs without asking for a thing. her mom stepping in as manager tonight was so sweet. it is clear this place runs like a family and excudes love and pride in what they do. we can't wait to come back.
