We purchased a custom-made shoe cabinet for our entryway from MAH. Chris was very helpful in designing and ordering exactly what we were looking for by combining several design components from their catalogs. We were able to easily communicate with him via email to ensure the cabinet was how we envisioned it would be and that it matched the style and color of the other furniture in our home. We've been in the market to replace some tired and old dining room furniture and knew we wanted solid wood.  We tried Gallery Furniture and a couple of other places around town but their furniture seemed a bit bulky and outdated for our space.  While we were headed to the Menil my wife spotted a "Modern Amish Furniture" store and had me turn around.  We were familiar with Amish furniture but weren't familiar with "Modern" Amish furniture...  so naturally we're intrigued.  Immediately upon entering we saw exactly what we wanted.  A clean and simple Parsons table.  Although their showroom was small, they had exactly what we wanted... talk about pinpointing your market, lol.  Long story short, we ordered their Parsons table, with 4 chairs and a matching Parsons bench.  We'll definitely be back when we start redoing our other rooms.  Great looking furniture and great service.  Highly recommended. Believe it or not, solid wood furniture is hard to find! I was looking for a live edge dining table that wasn't going to break my bank and stumbled onto Modern Amish of Houston. I'm from Austin but had a trip planned for Sugar Land to visit some friends so thought I'd stop by their store while I was in Houston. The shop is small but they had exactly what I was looking for... a live edge table that wasn't going to break my bank! They had 3 samples on the floor and 2 HUGE slabs leaning against the back wall. Since I was only there to visit friends I wasn't prepared to purchase anything immediately but emailed Chris back and forth over several days. Long story short, I'm getting exactly what I want and my bank account won't be crying. Great customer service! I just wish I had found you sooner! More...
