So glad I found this salon! I was searching for a stylist who had experience in Vidal Sassoon cutting technique. Colin did a wonderful job of listening to my concerns and basically corrected the mistakes made by a previous stylist. Elegant, upscale, friendly place!

As a first time client, I could not have been more satisfied and happy with the experience I had at this salon. I filled out a “get to know you” sheet and it was beyond helpful because as soon as I sat down in the chair they knew exactly what I wanted and how much I was looking to spend. They were extremely professional, the salon was so clean and the ambiance was so welcoming. I’ve been a loyal client ever since then. I’m getting married in February and I asked them to do my hair and make up for the big day!! We’ve done two trials and I could not be more happy with how understanding they are with what I want but, most importantly, what works with my dress/theme (bohemian like) to my wedding. I have been using Mac Hair Studio for over 20 years, and there’s a reason for that. All the stylists there offer so many more services than just a hair cut. I can't say enough amazing things about Margaret. She did my hair and make up for my wedding and absolutely killed it. She was such a gem to work with - listening to what I wanted from the start. She made me look better then I could have ever imagined - I felt so beautiful on my wedding day. I am not someone who wears a lot of make day to day - so making sure I still looked myself was really important to me. she created such a natural look for me - while still feeling special. This place is the BEST! My daughter was in town to get married and the planned hairdresser did not come thru. Mac Hair, on the morning of the wedding, was able to get not just my daughter, the bride in, but in addition four of the bridesmaids as well. Wow, what a gem I found! I'm a busy guy with a demanding schedule, so usually needing to go out and get a haircut is a chore for me. Not here! Margaret, owner of this full-service boutique salon, is by far one of the most trend-setting and fabulous stylists I have ever met. Her salon is beautiful, great staff and team of stylists, her product selection is carefully selected for each guests individual needs and total hair health and beauty. I have shoulder length blonde hair and recently decided to go platinum – she is simply the best! Her education, experience, and knowledge as a colorist/stylist are better than any salon I’ve visited from LA to Dallas, and now my home here in Jacksonville. I absolutely LOVE Courtney! I am from the high standard fashion capital of NYC so I am extremely picky with who touches my hair to make it trendy and Courtney is the ONLY stylist in Jacksonville I will allow to cut my hair. By choice I made her cut over 18 inches of my hair to a very short asymmetrical haircut and she pulled it off with flying colors. So since Ive moved here from Brooklyn New York its been a huge culture shock for me, until recently I have discovered San Marco oh wow I found NYC in many ways especially the MAC Hair Studio in Jacksonville, elegance and the feel of NYC, only in San Marco. Exquisite decor, and friendly staff that makes you feel like family and I know why,Stylist Margaret Misenar treats this place like her home and opens it to you like your a guest in her home not to mention she uses colour and texture and light to bring life to her work, and makes your hair benefit from her passion. Margaret’s medium is hair and, when it comes to hair, the MAC Hair Studio owner is a perfectionist. I walked in and she treated me as a client and friend of 20 years and I feel as though I know her well.....She turned my whiny red into a highlighted crimson that looks "kissed" with color So natural and then she uses Oribe Hair Care and your in heaven. I had the best day at MAC studios. I'm from out of state and wanted to get natural looking highlights after 10+ years of not coloring my hair at all. I knew that I wanted to go somewhere experienced and it was the website that won me over. I had to find a hair and make up stylist for my wedding so I contacted Margaret (the owner and stylist) back in March and reserved my spot for an appointment for June. She went over everything in great detail and even suggested coordinating breakfast for the morning of my appointment (wedding day). Margaret did a fabulous job on my hair and Colin did a beautiful job with my airbrush make-up. Liesel assisted with the hair of all my flower girls (ages 10, 8, 6 and 4) and I couldn't have been happier at how cute their hair looked. We did not feel rushed and the process went VERY smoothly. I cannot say enough great things about Mac Hair Studio!! They have a team of extremely organized professionals that make any experience at Mac amazing! My bridesmaids, mom, and I got our hair and makeup done for my wedding there and absolutely loved it!I was contacted by Lyndsey from the front desk to set up all of the information needed for the day of my wedding, including time slots, prices, etc. She layed everything out for me perfectly and I never had to stress about any of it! Lyndsey also helped me organize a nice place for us to keep snacks and drinks while we were all getting ready. It was awesome!!Margaret did my hair and it was exactly what I wanted!
