I saw a world-class production of Don Giovanni here three weeks ago. This is a truly incredible opera company and they deserve every accolade they receive. 시카고에 있는 메인 오페라하우스. 1920년대의 건축 양식이 온전히 남아있는 정말 아름다운 건물이다. 외양은 도시에 맞춰져서 밖에서 보면 오페라하우스라고 생각할 수 없다. 하지만, 내부의 장식이나 기둥들은 그 시기 정점이라고 할 수 있다. 음향도 한국에 있는 현대 공연장보다도 훨씬 좋다. 클래식을 좋아하지 않더라도 그 분위기와 건축물을 감상하기 위해서 꼭 방문하는 것을 추천한다. 오페라 당일티켓라고 공연 두 시간 전에는 반값세일을 하기도 한다. More...
