Great food but don't wait too long as once it is gone, it's gone for the day. Try the hush puppies as they are fried to perfection. Open and airy atmosphere with a couple TV's around to see whatever game is on. No outside seating and the dining room fills up quickly. We went to Lyles for a birthday dinner. The atmosphere was nice. It is a smaller restaurant, but it felt like there was enough room. I had a pulled pork sandwich with green beans and slaw. The best park of the sandwich was the bun. It was buttery, slightly toasted, yet soft. I used two of the available sauces that I tried, though there were several more. My only complaint about the pulled pork was that it could have used more pulling. I like the meat looser. However, the meat was moist, flavorful, and plentiful. I saved half, bought another bun, and sauced it for later. The green beans were also really good, though I think there was just a little too much black pepper for my taste. The slaw has apple in it, and I did enjoy it. My friends arrived first and tried the pig wings as appetizers, which they loved. The sweet tea was also good. My daughter had a baked potato with beef, and she finished it without complaint, which is unusual for her. She's always been a picky eater. BBQ!!! Of course in any place that does BBQ, I always start with the ribs. They didn't actually have a combo platter, which would have been great since I would have like to try more than one thing at a time. But, what I did get, I was very happy with. Of course ribs were the first thing I got. I like mine dry... If I want wet ribs, I like to do the sauce myself... Now the sauces they had were 6 different options. Now, you know I tried every one of them right? I did. and they were all fantastic. My favorite by far was the vinegar. But I am a vinegar sauce kind of gal. I will always choose a vinegar sauce over all the other ones. Now I did also use the spicy as well... back and forth... vinegar, spicy, vinegar, spicy... yesss!!! And the green beans were delicious. Alot of restaurants focus on the meats and not the sides. The sides, I believe are just as important at a BBQ joint. These are not just a can of green beans heated up, they put some work into them! Great food, service was struggling. Ordered and paid for food, but since they didn't take my name on order, either cancelled or didn't bring order out to dining room? Stopped in for a brisket sandwich and a beer. I ordered the granny smith slaw and green beans for sides. The lady that took my order was very nice, easily took a coupon I had on my phone for my birthday(thanks). Took a few extra minutes to come out, and it was worth the wait. The slaw was sweet and tart, not too runny or too dry. Green beans were a little peppery but still cooked well with great flavor. The brisket was juicy and smokey. The bun was super soft, added a little bit of their bourbon bbq sauce and it was one of the best brisket sandwiches I've had in a long time. Hands down my favorite bbq joint in Kentucky. Period. There's some really good ones out there of course, but this has got them beat. Everyone I have had join me here says the same thing! It's just done the right way. Like, ya know, with a little refinement. There's nothing worse than going somewhere that has great meat options and the sides are just trash. Happens way too often. Not here! The smoked Mac and cheese, the hush puppies, the Granny Smith slaw, the... ok you get it. How's the meat though? Perfect. Not super aggressively smoked and not bland. It all has great color and it's a sweeter smoke with no bitter aspects. I usually get the brisket. As one of the hardest cuts of meat to truly master, well... they mastered it. I crave it often haha. The sauces though! There's 6 or 7 now. They are all super good. The Alabama white has tons of flavor and it tastes like it had fresh horseradish in it. So good. Get yourself a banana pudding on your way out. Trust me on that Everyone here has always been nice to me and my friends. Nice service. I like how the inside functions like most bbq restaurants do. You walk up and order, then it's brought out to you. Not the whole waitstaff thing. No thanks on that. I also want to mention that it's very clean and has some great big TVs too. Best brisket I've ever had anywhere period. Tender and delicious. Pulled pork was excellent and the smoked chicken was juicy and very tasty. Sides were spot on. I had no idea where this restaurant was located and didnt care because its bbq; never been a huge fan. Scrolled on some webpage and their site popped up, with a free sandwich pop-up. Of course, i enter my email n recieved the coupon.I'm so glad i took the time to try it out because its the best damn bbq ive had in years! Its tender n flavorful, with amazing home made sauces you can choose from. I felt like a little kid, giddy because i had just found my new spot to smash some amazing bbq!!!! Yay!!! There sides, may be few but they are perfectly done! The slaw is amazing and im in love with the hush puppies. I cant wait to go back and try the home made mac n cheese and the bake beans, yummmmm! Have been wanting to try this place for a while.  Signed up for their mailing list and received a coupon for a free pulled pork sandwich.  Finally redeemed it today.  I got the puller pork sandwich and the smoked mac & cheese.   Once I placed my to-go order I waited about 5 minutes or so for my food.  While I waited I checked out the variety of available sauces.  I decided to sample 3 of them. Sweet, spicy and bourbon.   They were all very good.  The spicy had just enough of a kick without being too much. The sweet was just right.  And honestly the bourbon tasted similar to the sweet for me.  It was good though!  I like that the sandwich was served dry, so that you could add as much or as little sauce as you wanted.  It was tender and had very good flavor.   The highlight of the meal to me was the mac & cheese!  It was oh so good!  Great flavor and it was unlike any other mac & cheese I've ever had. I wish the portion was bigger because I definitely wanted more. The customer was excellent.   The lady at the counter was very nice.  Great first impression. Good pulled pork, burnt ends and brisket. I also dig the green beans (garlic) and baked beans. The sandwich buns are very soft and don't get in the way of the meat. Sauces are on the vinegar side.
