Lucy and Lady Dog Psychology

Lucy is Awesome. Her first time coming into your home she makes sure she addresses all of your concerns and won't leave until you feel satisfied. Which I think is super important. With Covid19 she is super respectful of boundaries and distancing. I've had her for just two sessions so far but she has been able to correct and improve my puppy's behavior. She has also taken a lot of pressure off of me by educating me on do's and dont's. There are so many resources online it is easy to get overwhelmed and stressed out. Getting advice from a professional like Lucy has made my life and my dogs life so much easier. First and foremost, Lucy was FANTASTIC! She is so professional, patient, and very intuitive to our needs and the needs of our 6yr old Bichon poodle . She’s was quick to pick up on areas we needed to improve to address his aggressive behavior. We learned about calm-submissive energy, how to set boundaries, and establish leadership with our doggie. She even observed us taking him for a a walk and taught us the correct way to use the leash as a tool. We were so excited we couldn’t wait to try all the exercises she taught us this evening . Coming into my first session with Lucy, I did not know what to expect. However, I learned so much from her and was amazed by all the explanations she was giving for why are dogs were behaving how they were and gave good advice on how to cater to them and the situation. I have a german shepherd, who would bark a lot and a golden retriever with whom the german shepherd would fight a lot with. Lucy worked really well with both of them and gave me and my family a lot of great insight and advice on how to work with our dogs! Lucy has given me the confidence to be a pack leader to my 3 year old border collie mix, Mabel. With the support of her sidekick Lady, we were able to learn about my dog’s triggers of sorts. I am more confident in corrections - which I was lacking before. introductions both canine and human alike I have found more ease in.

While Mabel can be leash and toy reactive I know I can more confidently move with her and teach her how to respond.

We are headed out on a long road trip and Lucy was prompt in response, supportive and open to helping ahead of time so that I can be there for my dog in the best way. More...

Lucy is awesome! She has such great energy about her and my dog instantly responded to her. My dog is a rescue and has some leash aggression, is highly energetic, can play pretty rough and has a hard time listening. Lucy helped us realize that we needed to control our energy to help calm him down. We are a work in progress and look forward to continuing our journey with Lucy. Lucy has been a tremendous help to our family/pack. From the moment she walked in the door she took charge, provided us with a ton of information and made sure that everyone was confident, calm and involved, including my toddler who absolutely adores her! Lucy came to meet our eight month old Gampyr/Dalmation and I was really apprehensive. She amazed me with her ability to calm him and taught us so much about behavior! Lucy is awesome! She came to evaluate a new puppy we’ve brought into our home and ended up helping with an older pup of ours who doesnt do well with other dogs, by the end of the session they were side by side, avoiding but no confrontation, it was a really big win for us! I just met Lucy today and being a woman myself I wanted to have a strong female figure that exudes leadership. That’s Lucy and even more. She was calm and assertive and kept redirecting my dog and patiently working through all the corrections. She knows her stuff and explained to me and my boyfriend how to interact with my dog and how to adress his fear. Meeting Lucy has been a blessing for our family. We just had our first person meeting with Lucy today and we were able to learn the proper techniques to help our 13 week lab puppy behave. From the moment we spoke on the phone Lucy listened to our concerns and wanted to understand what we were going to achieve out of these sessions. Our biggest concern was what we thought was aggression toward our youngest child. Lucy helped us understand the psychology of the pack mentality and how we need to behave around our puppy so that we can enjoy him and have peaceful family time. Our first session was a big success, we immediately were able to see how to handle the puppy and what a change it can have. I can’t begin to start with how happy my daughter and I were meeting Lucy and Lady. We first spoke over the phone and was excited and open to having her come to our home and meet our two dogs.

From the moment she entered the house and made her presence with our dogs I knew we picked the right person for the job. I contacted Lucy for training and understanding our 10 week old puppy Maverick better. We wanted to make sure that we were not fostering bad habits as this is our first time raising a dog. Lucy was amazing from the moment we met her and we learned from her how being calm, in command and the leader of the pack was so important to providing the guidance that Maverick needs. Lucy was absolutely incredible and I’m definitely hiring her again! I did my first dog training session with her for my 8 month old Mini-Labradoodle. I specifically wanted to work on a few things I’d started observing (growling when humans or dogs pass by on a walk, pulling on the leash, separation anxiety, crate training, etc.). In the hour session, we covered a lot of ground and I learned so much — both how to interact with my dog outside and how to make sure he’s comfortable inside. She immediately knew how my dog would react to things and was able to clearly explain the dog psychology and how I should work to correct his behavior. She even brought her dog during the training to show me how my pup would react to other dogs and how to get my dog comfortable around other dogs.
