I was only on Amelia Island for a couple days during a work trip, but really enjoyed being on the ocean. The beach houses lining the shore are pretty amazing. Downtown Fernandina Beach is worth checking out—lots of boutique shopping, local restaurants, and historic sites. More...

This was our first ever visit to Amelia Island. I found 4 shark teeth, my mom found one, and my daughter found 2! The beach and ocean are absolutely gorgeous here, but the ocean was too rough for even the adults in August. I would like to go back during a different time of the year, maybe during the summer before hurricane season! More...
