A gem of Louisville and St. Matthews!! The food here is amazing! Never disappoints and it's obvious they take great care in the quality of the dishes they serve and care and thought into what dishes are served. The service is hit or miss, not rude or bad just either friendly or very vanilla. It's a unique fun atmosphere as well. Lou Lou Food & Drink looks like a cute little restaurant on the outside but don't let it's unpretentious exterior fool you. This restaurant means business and serves up big flavor and dishes reflecting New Orleans influence and Italian flair. One sandwich I recently tried and strongly recommend is the Chicken Portabella Roll that contains spinach, feta cheese, tomatoes, and all of this flavorful goodness drenched in a roasted red pepper sauce and stuffed inside a flatbread exterior cooked to crispy perfection! It came with a choice of sides, and I tried the Cajun waffle crisps... just divine... and with the right amount of seasoning to turn the heat up a notch on a regularly enjoyed classic. Great place! This is one of those places you would see featured on TV and say, "Hey, I need to check that place out." Have only been there once and had the Gumbo, which was awesome, and I plan to go back and try rest of the menu.
