You realize you're not at your "regular" carpet cleaner as soon as you walk in. This is not your regular carpet cleaner. This is where you come and bring the rugs you love and care about dearly because you want them clean and you know it is not anyone's job to do it and you hope and want the cleaner will care about your rug as much as you do. Well...the Team here cares more about your rug than you do, trust me :)You walk in and you see a clean and organized facility; nothing to hide, they will walk you through the place, the process and will show you their passion, their care and their love for their job. This is what you hope to see in any business that deals with things you care. If these guys were jewelers, you would feel just as confident with how they'd handle those too! The process was clearly explained, quoted and suggestions were offered but not pushed on us as a matter of "selling us stuff" but as a way to educate us about our choices. Our need was not only cleaning, as they had to do some restoration too, and they explained that process too and the outcome was honestly even better than we expected. They recommended care and maintenance, helped us with giving us a schedule and a process for the next few months/years. And told us how to deal with small incidents ourselves, without trying to sell us on anything. BTW - while they were cleaning my rug I had an issue with the upholstery on my car and had them take a look at it and they gave me the right suggestion for what to do without pretending "they could figure it out" and showing the same respect for the people who clean my car and their expertise. Remarkably personable, accurate and nice, I will be certainly referring people to them and will come back for any and all of my rug cleaning needs, NO BRAINER. I truly can't rave enough about my experience. I have a black shag rug I've had for a few years and needed it washed. I don't own any pets but my best friends dog has had his share of fun on my rug. I contacted them via Instagram (they literally post the best videos) and instantly received not only a response but a quote. I had a million questions and took me a few weeks before everything was finalized but they were so sweet and patient with me. I wouldn't have been sweet and patient with me....with all the back and forth but it truly is a testimony to their customer service and professionalism. I gave them the wrong measurements of my rug originally so when they came to pick it up they informed me and made the price change process very easy (it was my fault for not giving them accurate measurements). I was in a hurry so I got my rug back in 7 business days!!! MIND BLOWN! But what made the process even more enjoyable was Duncan and Justin. Such sweet men, they were so nice! They had their own shoe coverings that they put on when they came to pick up and drop off my rug( big deal for those of us with OCD tendencies LOL) and the day they came the elevator in my building was broken. Everyone took such good care of us and our (very dirty) Persian rug! Our rug was damaged because of our iRobot vacuum and had color bleed from the last time we had it washed by someone other than Rug idea. We did not know whether our rug can be repaired or that the color can be restored. We found this business on Instagram and decided to give them a try. It was one of the best decisions we made.  Kash and his father (Dr. Kay) are true experts at what they do.  I learned so much about rugs in general and the process it takes to maintain them. Within 10 days of moving into our new home with all new furnishings, my dog got muddy paw prints on a knotted wool rug and knocked over my coffee mug on my new 50/50 wool & viscose, tufted rug! I tried the old mild soap and water trick, but that only made it worse. Baking soda turned the stains brown! Panicked, I asked for a quote from 2 rug cleaners i got from neighbors on the NextDoor app. Rug Ideas was not one of them, but I got a bunch of quotes, had them out for estimates, and went with them, mostly because Duncan and Justin instilled the most confidence. First time I ever relied on a Yelp auto-generated quote suggestion. Yelpers do not disappoint! Dr. Kay realized how critical it was to our family and asked his team to help us out - they assessed and took the rugs on Labor Day weekend, even though they were closed!The rugs were at their facility a little more than 2 weeks. I came across this company by chance and I am so happy I did. About 2 months ago I bought this amazing rug at the swap meet for a very low price. It's silk with a beautiful tapestry backing. Well one day my dog decided she would use it as a pull toy and she ripped the tassels. So I started my search for a place to have it repaired. Hence, I come across Rug Ideas. Called the company and spoke with Kash, he recommended I bring it by.  So I took the rug over to get a FREE estimate for the repair. There I initially met the original owner and he gave me so much information regarding rugs I couldn't even been to repeat it all. However, while talking with him I felt very comfortable and confident that I was where I needed to be. So, I went ahead and left the rug for repair and thorough cleaning and treatment. Today, I just picked up my rug. It took longer than anticipated because the repair needed to be redone and made secure. This w as at NO additional charge. These guys are the BEST! No joke. They truly went above and beyond to save my rug SOS. They are heros to me! I had accidentally put two black, carbon stains on a friend's brand new ivory viscose rug while using her house for an event while she was out of town. I needed to return the rug to its pristine condition in 48 hours before she returned home! I learned that viscose is one of the hardest materials to clean due to its processed and fragile nature. Well, come to find out, Rug Ideas are experts in the field of the science of cleaning all rugs, and specifically - viscose!! #lifesavers!!! Wow. I just had my rug cleaned/washed, and delivered to my house by Rug Ideas.I am very happy with their services which includes cleaning and shampoo the rugs with non- chemical solutions to protect your rugs, and also being an environmental friendly company. I have been meaning to write a r ire for a while . I inherited some antique Persian rugs that had never been cleaned.  One rug had been stored in a plastic bag for 5 years and was infested with live wool moths . I am glad I went here rather then use a at home machine. It is pricey , but  the staff and doctor Kay took their time to explain the process and also do a quick verbal appraisal of the rugs. This gave me an idea of their value, and allowed me to decide if I was willing to restore the damaged parts . They have craftsman rug weavers in staff that with reconstruct moth eaten areas and match it perfectly . In the end I opted to keep the damaged rug as is , and avoid extra  coats in restoration. dr. Kay was very honest in letting me know which rug he believed was worthy of restoration. In request th company privies a formal  written appraisals if needed  for insurance purposes.  As far as storing rugs they let me know that plastic is the worse thing to do. And while there are more appropriate ways to wrap and store rugs, they informed me of the importance of periodically bringing them out into the light and air to avoid any future moth infestations. . Very happy with the service.  My rug needed an emergency deep cleaning after my dog had multiple pee accidents on it.  They picked up my large 20 year old Karastan rug same day that I reached out on yelp and helped me get rid of my very smelly rug pad.  The quote was reasonable for the service, in the middle of the ones I obtained.  The owner was very helpful and responsive over yelp and Mark was very helpful in communicating the progress on my rug.  He was also super helpful with advice on cleaning the rug in the event of additional dog accidents.  Duncan and Justin were very helpful in getting my new rug pad and all my furniture back in place after delivery.  My rug is a shade brighter and no longer smells! I trusted Rug Ideas with my three 5'x7' sheepskin rugs which had started showing a lot of wear after years of use and handfuls of dog incidents. I wasn't about to let any rug cleaning place take them in for fear of ruining them. Dr Kay was very helpful in explaining the process and an even better bonus was they waived the pickup/drop off fee which was incredibly convenient for me.  Duncan took great care of my rugs. Overall it took a bit longer than I had anticipated but you can't rush the process and they put in the extra work to make sure my rugs came back in perfect condition. These guys are just insanely talented! I had a sheepskin wool rug, super expensive and really dear to me which had been the victim to my dog's territorial bent. It had yellow stains pretty much all over it and I thought it was a lost cause. I spoke with Dr. Kay on the phone and he was so friendly and knowledgeable that I knew I was in good hands. We have two dogs and two medium-quality rugs that needed a lot of cleaning. The family who tun Rug Ideas were excellent. On bringing the rugs in they showed us into their cleaning area and explained their process and answered any questions we had. They were up front about the quality of our rug and the amount of cleaning that would be needed. Suffice to say they did an excellent job in the time they estimated and the rugs look new again. On pick up they voluntarily refolded the rugs to fit in my pitifully small old car and were once again friendly and super helpful. Simply the best!!!    Service is impeccable!!   I sent away some very expensive wool rugs along with some inexpensive runners, seven in total that hadn't been cleaned in a couple of years.   When I called to check on the status, I was told one of my rugs had to washed three times (one I was told couldn't be done by two other companies.)  Today my rugs were delivered to me and they looked brand new!!   Color was maintained and the rugs had no scent of cleaning fluids either.   The white-glove service to lift the heaviest dining room table and place the rug perfectly under it was above and beyond.  I was so impressed I gave them another nice rug to clean before they left.  Great service, prompt, professional and perfectionists...you can't ask for more!! Helpful, knowledgeable, and professional are three words to describe Rug Ideas.  We thought we'd just drop off our dirty rugs, wait a while, get them back cleaned, and that would be the end of it. Instead we got a very thorough walkthrough of the process and gained more confidence that our rugs would be taken care of in the best way possible.We have two dogs and after a couple of years, no amount of wiping down and vacuuming could really clean the dirt, pee, hair (and who knows what else) off. I am speechless. I can't believe my eyes! I have a white shag rug that was filthy and it looks BRAND NEW! I brought a silk Persian rug for cleaning that was heavily soiled with blood following a fatal accident by my father. After the facts came to light, Dr Kay told me he would restore the rug for my family at no charge. I told him it was not necessary but he insisted. After getting my white Persian rug cleaned here, it's obvious they know 2 things well. They know rugs & they know how to restore them! I just got two rugs cleaned here. One of them was a high pile wool rug that my dog puked on. I tried everything to clean it. It turned yellow in a corner. These guys did a miraculous job cleaning it. I had 2 expensive persian rugs cleaned here & they did a fantastic job. The price they quoted was what I paid, ie no higher price when I came to pick it up, and they were honest about what they could do and couldn't do.
