LNFE was suggested to us as a DJ service from our wedding planner at Pearl Events and they were the best! Senaida, who coordinates all of the operations before, was amazing and super responsive -- it was impressive! My husband and I booked LNFE without hesitation or even considering the competition. I had seen Ric Almeda perform at a SX event and knew he was the dj I wanted for my own wedding. Ric was patient, knowledgeable, responsive, a good listener and professional. Ric truly took the time to get to know me and my fiancé. I was not an easy going bride. I had very specific songs and a sound I was going for. Ric took every suggestion in stride and made suggestions or additions I didn't even know I was missing. He is like a mind reader. The dance floor was packed all night long at the reception. Everyone danced! Everyone from my high school friends to my in laws and family friends. Ross was so amazing, he played every song we asked for and added some more to keep the party going. He was so much fun to work with and really only wanted the best for my husband and I. From the very moment we booked with Look No Further Entertainment we were put at ease by how friendly and welcoming Ross was. He is so professional and I even received the audio of the reception as well as the speeches, and that just means so much to me to be able to play the night over again whenever I want to experience our BEST DAY EVER. We met with DJ Ross Phillips (owner of LNFE) and after chatting a bit about the type of music we wanted for our wedding day, Ross did a live demo for us on the spot in his home studio. He was the first and only DJ we met with, and we were blown away! We decided right then and there we wanted Ross to DJ our wedding, and what a perfect decision it was. We had an eclectic, fun blend of dance hits, latin remixes, 90s hip hop, and classics. We had some specific songs we wanted, but left Ross mostly in control to do his thing. We'll never forget, he started the dance party off with the song "Hooked on a Feeling" by Blue Swede. This was a total surprise, and a moment we'll never forget. It's sort of become our unofficial "song" now, and most weekends you can find us in our apartment, dancing around with the dog and singing that song at the top of our lungs with it playing in the background. Ross was an amazing DJ, and the whole LNFE team were so professional and a joy to work with. Look no further, seriously. Ross and his team did an amazing job of helping us create a beautiful ceremony followed by dinner and a lively dance party for our wedding ceremony+reception at the South Congress Hotel. Working with Ross was totally stress free and he did a really good job of painting the venue with the desired vibe/ambiance through the music. Everything was seamless and when it was time to dance and party the whole crowd was up it was like a dancing lightswitch went off (even the older / shy relatives I didn't expect to dance were dancing). Ross and his team did a fantastic job for our wedding last week at Pecan Springs Ranch.  My wife and I really enjoyed working with him and he really bought our vision to life.  All of our guests loved the music and he kept the dance floor moving the entire night.  Ross spent a long time with us before the wedding helping plan the music choice and and helped walk us through all the decisions we needed to make which we found really helpful.  We also asked him to play a mix of Indian music and Western mix and he absolutely nailed the vibe we were looking for.  My wife and I are so grateful we worked with Ross for our wedding, thank you for everything! Ross and his team at LNFE are rockstars! The whole process from start to finish was professional, organized, and stress-free. We met with Ross a few months out to review our style of music and what we'd like out of the reception. We then had access to a portal where we could tailor as much or as little of the selection as we wanted. We even met in person for a second time a few weeks out to review song selection. The night of, he absolutely killed it. We have had so many people say to us, "that was the best DJ ever," and we couldn't agree more! We knew LNFE was the perfect DJ for us after our first meeting early in the planning process. Ross and Laura were always generally quick to respond to emails. They were very patient, even when we changed our minds and made a few different changes. They kept the dance floor packed and played all the music we asked for. Ross and Laura do an INCREDIBLE job as a DJ team. They went above and beyond to mix songs for us and literally played every song that we wanted, even if it wasn't on their online list. Ric worked hard all evening for us, running the sound for the ceremony, background music for the cocktail hour, dinner music, and obviously the reception. This is not a budget DJ service and it showed with excellent equipment, sound quality and lighting. This crew knows how to run a business - and get people dancing. Out of all my wedding vendors, they were my top two easiest and smoothest to work with. Louis was the man. He made sure that he had an in-person meeting with us despite living in New York and having a pretty inflexible schedule. Sorry for this long story, but I feel its important to start at the beginning. This review is specifically for Ross, who was dj at our wedding, but I'm sure anyone would be 5 stars from Look No Further Entertainment! Anyways my story starts so long ago at one of the many bridal expos I visited. After a long day of mostly annoying and loud young men who think they can DJ had been yelling at me to book their services, a miracle happened, and I ran into Ross. I could tell Ross was immediately different than most of the DJ services I had talked to all day. He was professional and calm, and seemed more honest than a typical wedding vendor. Ross let us come to his studio so he could show off his DJ skills and talk one on one with my (now) husband and I, it was a nice personal touch in an age of "go online to hear my work". We hired him because it was clear he is passionate about his work. Ross is up for any challenge as well, because the music my husband and I listen to isn't what you would typically hear at a wedding. We gave him the strangest requests for our wedding music, like "make the ceremony sound like what is on obscure college radio" or "the reception dance music should sound similar to my homecoming dance circa 2008" . And I gotta tell you he hit the nail exactly on the head. The music he played for our wedding was everything we had dreamed about, almost like he was in our heads. I was referred to Look No Further from one of my friends who had booked them for her wedding. We initially met Ross in his home and knew that we wanted to hire LNFE for our wedding as well. Ross was not available on our date, so he referred us to Keith. Keith was kind enough to come to our home to meet us a couple of days later and we ended up chatting for an hour and a half. We was so nice, so fun, and had so much knowledge and passion for what he does. Keith was not just our wedding DJ, but someone I leaned on for advice regarding other aspects of our wedding a couple of times throughout the process. Keith was so helpful and went above and beyond to take time out of his day to provide advice for me even thought this is not at all something he was required to do. The only way I can describe Keith in regards to the amazing party he threw is that he is a wedding party scientist. He did such an amazing job of feeling out the activity of the dance floor to keep the flow of the party going. If guests were into the song, the song kept going. If they weren't as into a song, he would change it and everyone would just magically gravitate back onto the dance floor. We have him to thank for the best party of our life! We received so many compliments about how awesome our DJ was! I knew that we would receive our ceremony and speeches in full, but I was so excited to receive the audio to hear that EVERYTHING was recorded! At our initially meeting with Ross, we were so blown away by their professionalism and passion for music. For our wedding we booked with Keith. He had everything set up before guests arrived and blew us away! Not only did he keep the party going with great music selections, he also helped us keep with our timeline! Keith did an amazing job with lighting due to our venue not having enough lighting and making it pop. At one point during our reception he even pointed out to our photographer the gorgeous sunset that was going on so we could get a great photo. Ross and Ric were awesome!! They collaborated with us several times before the wedding, and had an easy to use website for us to choose the songs we wanted played for specific dances, and to pick the type of music we wanted played at the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and reception. It was awesome how well it was all organized. We were also able to get our uplights through them, which I highly recommend!! Ric did his whole set up prior to any guests arriving, and set up all the uplights for us! They were so easy going, easy to coordinate with, and a ton of fun to have at the wedding!! Keith DJ'ed our wedding April 2016 in Fredericksburg. He had been recommended by a bridesmaid who went to another wedding in the area DJ'ed by Look No Further Ent. My husband and I met in a college music organization so it was definitely important that we had somebody who could get our taste just right and really entertain all of our friends we met in that same group, as well as the kids and grandparents in attendance. Keith took what we gave him, filled in the gaps and made sure everything flowed nicely. My review is up to today's use of Look No Further Entertainment's services as our wedding isn't until April 9, 2016.
Ross has been great to work with! We met with him in his studio/office and he learned a little bit about my fiance and I and what we are looking for. What I really liked was we got to see Ross in action and provided us a sampling of his work right on the spot!
We had visited another DJ company prior to our visit with Ross and they didn't do that, so I thought that set him apart from others.

Ross was awesome, everything at our wedding seemed to go like clockwork and it had a lot to do with our DJ announcing what was happening. Our DJ provided us with our sound at our outdoor ceremony so guests could hear everything and provided a microphone for our harpist as well. At the reception the music was exactly want we were looking for, we gave Ross a short list of songs we liked and he went off of that! We contacted Ross because of all the awesome reviews he had on multiple sites.  I was very torn about hiring a dj for our wedding because I did not want any cheesy music or dances.  My fiancé met with Ross and was very impressed by his professionalism and style.  He provides you with an awesome website where you can choose your music and let him know what songs are a definite "no".  You provide him with the details of your ceremony and reception as well on his website.  Right before your wedding he will call you to double check the details with you.  When he arrived at our wedding for set up, he even offered to help us with last minute decorations.  He kept our ceremony running smoothly and played all of our must have songs.My fiancé and I had a lot of anxiety about doing a first dance with all eyes on us, but Ross understood and offered us some scenarios to make things easier on us.  Another worry was satisfying the mix of guests at our wedding.  My fiancé's family are British and Australian and my family are Tex Mex both who are used to different wedding styles.  The variety of music we requested was perfectly mixed and felt very natural.  He got the vibe and theme or our wedding down perfect.  We received so many compliments on his playlist and the venue owners wanted to add him to their recommended vendor list.  As a bonus he sent us the complete downloadable playlist as a keepsake.   It really was such a relief to have a professional like Ross take care of us on our special day. Best choice! Do yourself a favor and let Ross take care of your ceremony and reception. He is easy to work with, and uses state of the art equipment. Not just playing a list of music, he transitions each song smoothly so you can keep dancing. You do all your music planning online. He provided the uplighting which makes a huge difference. The absolutely best part is that he records your ceremony. Everything happens so fast on your wedding day, and I got to listen to everything again. Ross did a terrific job as our DJ. There were three main things we really liked about him:

First, he will provide an mp3 recording of the reception, including any toasts, etc. , that might be given. If he's using a sound rig to amplify your ceremony, you'll also get a really high-quality recording of that. We are really happy that we're going to have those recordings, especially a couple of songs that members of our families performed during the ceremony

Second, he was great at perceiving what we wanted and didn't want, and knew when to use a light touch in selecting the music. Prior to the event, we gave him a playlist we wanted him to play during dinner, and then a looser set of suggestions for the dancing portion of the reception. During the dancing portion, he did a terrific job of "filling in the blanks" for us -- the music was high-energy, but not cheesy at all. During dinner, he played the set of songs we asked for, only he came up with a great order in which to play the songs. This list even included some pretty specific covers/live versions of songs, which he was more than willing to track down.

Third, Ross was incredibly flexible. The terrible Hill Country floods occured the previous weekend, and we had to make a number of last-minute adjustments. Ross actually arrived about an hour early to set up, and was really responsive to what we needed.

Ross was the DJ for my older sister's wedding on April 25th, 2015. Prior to the wedding I met Ross with my sister for the initial consultation. He really listens to his clients and takes time to get to know their personal style. This became apparent the night of the wedding when every song I heard brought back a memory or completely represented the couples' unique taste in music. Cody, the groom, loves alternative rock and indie music. My sister, Val, is a hip-hop queen and loves a little bit of classic funk too. Both of their styles were equally represented and Ross did a great job transitioning from one style to the next.Her wedding was on a double-decker boat on town lake, so this definitely wasn't his typical or the most ideal setting. However, Ross easily worked out all the logistics and set-up. He seamlessly and naturally carried the night from start to finish. DJ Ross was great! We had to get a DJ at the last minute as our original DJ backed out a few months before the wedding. DJ Ross was helpful and met with us before we made our decision. We had decided before leaving the meeting that he would be perfect for our event. We had a specific song list and did not want our DJ to "freestyle" which he was very respectful of our requests and was able meet all of them. Best part....after the wedding you get a audio file of your ceremony and reception which includes any audio from those using a mic during your event (toasts, officiant, etc). Go with DJ Ross!! Merging the East Coast and guests from Texas... music was our biggest concern because we wanted to make sure everyone would be up and dancing and having a good time. We had several people come up to us and tell us how awesome the music selection was!! Which was such an awesome feeling. Ross has this website which made it really easy for us to communicate exactly what kind of feel we were looking for for our wedding. Being the bride I missed most of the ceremony and cocktail hour (coming out last and pictures) but everyone truly enjoyed themselves. This review is loooong overdue, but I was just listening to our wedding mp3 and was reminded of how much I loved our celebration, and how Look No Further was truly the icing on our wedding cake.  My husband and I hired Ross to DJ our reception and we hired Laura to do the "day-of" coordinating. We absolutely believe that the success of our wedding was due in (big) part to Look No Further's amazing, attentive services. We received numerous compliments from our friends and family about how our wedding was one of the most fun weddings they'd been to, and they loved the mix of country and hip-hop music (my family and friends are from Vegas, my husband's family and friends hail from Texas and New Mexico).  Ross was given a last-minute, short must-have playlist to work with, but he magically put together the perfect "soundtrack" for both the dining and dancing portions of our wedding day.We also have been telling all our newly engaged friends that the best decision we ever made was hiring Laura to do the day-of coordination for our wedding.  I didn't have to worry about a thing the day of my wedding -- Laura made sure everything was set up and happened exactly the way I wanted, and she refused to let me do any setup work and instead ushered me to my bridal suite in order to just relax and enjoy my wedding day. We absolutely loved our experience with Look No Further! We used them for our wedding & our reception was an absolute blast. They were a joy to work with & they were super accommodating with all of my song requests & when my husband wanted to plan a surprise serenade with some of his groomsmen. :) After the wedding, we received an entire MP3 of both the ceremony & reception so we could relive the audio of both celebrations - what a great keepsake! My only note is that the recessional music was played a little too late/too softly, but maybe that was due to a miscommunication. Ross did a fantastic job as DJ for our reception. During the initial call, he answered all of my questions and gave honest opinions. Follow-up was quick and responsive, and within the week prior to the wedding he made sure to call to set up the final details. He was very accommodating to all of our requests, and included every song we asked for, combining them with his selections so the flow was seamless. The music during cocktails/dinner was excellent and fit our expressed desires perfectly. The dance party after dinner was also a big hit with our guests, many of whom commented on how good the music was throughout the evening. He does a very good job of reading the crowd and adjusting songs as needed to keep people dancing, or to slow things down for a break. Keith  Jones was  my. Wedding DJ this past week and he went above and beyond! The equipment he brought was AMAZING, he helped me with other parts of my wedding that had nothing to do  with music like  helping me with the itinerary/timeline  and he had me and all my bridesmaids letting lose on the dance floor in no time at all. He was very reasonable cost wise (I called around quite a bit)  he also had 2 personal ,edging with me and my dad and traveled to my house for them. Our wedding was 11/11/11 but I was listening to the recorded event provided by Ross & Laura today.  My heart is filled with joy & I have the most beautiful fun memories of that fantastic day.  These two played such a fantastic part in making the day perfect.  Thanks again for the ongoing memories~Sabrina Cash More...

When my husband and I started planning our wedding, one of the most important things to both of us was the music. We both LOVE to dance and have always had the most fun at weddings where everyone joins in the dancing and we had that vision for our own wedding. So thank goodness we found Ross and Laura! Ross is an absolutely incredible DJ! We had a five hour reception which is definitely on the longer end and when it ended at midnight, we still had almost all of our guests out on the dance floor having a great time. He knows exactly how to gauge the crowd's interest in songs and create the right flow to build into an awesome party. My husband and I literally didn't sit down the entire evening and most of our guests didn't either - not just the young guests but all of our older family members/friends too! Everyone had an amazing time. I got so many compliments on his DJing including from my dad who is still raving about him to all of his business partners. Laura does a great job keeping the evening going and managing the MCing. They are definitely not the typical 'lame wedding DJs' but a team that I want to hire for every event that I have! And they are very reasonably priced. I had originally looked into hiring a band because I thought they would create the best dance party but they were too expensive but I'm so glad I went with Ross and Laura because they totally created our dream dance party and were a steal. Ross and Laura were fantastic.  We only had to meet with them twice - once to book, and then once to sit down and talk about what we wanted music wise.  He NAILED it.  Our guests RAVED about what an awesome party our reception was.  Then, three of my friends booked him for their weddings.  He is that good.  Ross is not some dope  with a microphone.  He's a DJ.  A real live, turn-table, DJ.  He will listen to what you what your reception to be and feel like and make it happen.  I honestly believe that choosing a DJ determines what your reception will be.  Don't pick some guy with a sound system and an iTunes playlist.  Pick someone who will create the atmosphere and party you want. I knew I wanted a DJ for my wedding and didn't have to look for long before deciding on Ross. Right off the bat I liked the fact that you knew it would be him at your wedding and not one of 8 possible people like some other DJ companies. I was so happy with the way the music and entertainment turned out that night! Everyone was dancing all night and I even had people tell me that they usually leave earlier at weddings but loved the mix of music so much they had to stay. Ross did a wonderful job with the wide range of music styles we requested: oldies, tejano, 80's rock, texas country, etc. It was also really nice to have Laura there as a day-of coordinator.
