What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
For web design/redesign:
Do you already have a website? Do you already have company branding like colors, logos and other materials? Can you show us some related websites that you like? Can you also show us some related websites that you don't like?
For SEO:
What are the websites of your 5 strongest competitors? What are some example searches you hope people use to find you? What is the specific purpose of the website (direct sales through ecommerce, informative, booking meetings or quotes)?
These are a few of the questions we ask to get a feel for the project. We actually use a really nice system named Content Snare that lets us give new clients some simple forms to fill out that help us both get the information we need.

Freedom and creative expression. This work is amazing, we get to work wherever want and meet tons of new people.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I just wanted to be able to do the work I wanted, how I wanted. I love building websites and doing SEO. It's actually fun for me. Starting my own business meant I could do it the best way I knew how and keep my standards high.
