Live events was absolutely amazing for our wedding on 10/12/19. We met with them at a wedding show and had found out we won a discounted package through them. We met with Dennis Cox to which the meeting was very professional and he arrived on time. One huge selling point for us with live events was they didn’t charge a travel fee to Rolla, Mo. Dennis was our actual dj for our wedding, he contacted me through the phone the week of the wedding to go over exactly what we wanted and had a few questions to make sure he understood everything. Dennis was the DJ for our wedding and was better than we could have imagined! I had dumped a huge playlist and scrambled to put my ceremony and reception timeline 5 days leading up to the wedding. Dennis asked all the right questions in his questionnaire and even asked follow-up questions to ensure I had thought of everything to ensure the whole day would go smoothly! Our day of coordinator had left before our first dance, so Dennis helped corral all our guests outside for the sparkler sendoff. If I ever have another event where a DJ is needed, I would hire Dennis again in a heartbeat! Live Events also provided our photo booth and did a great job! We were married a week ago, and we are still getting compliments on how great of a job our DJ’s did! We were so happy with how everything turned out, and Dennis did a great job of helping us as we were going through the planning process as well. The songs were great (and also kid friendly). They also did a great job of accommodating our schedule and working with our photographer and caterers, as well as adjusting on the fly when unplanned events occurred! They also did a great job of encouraging EVERYONE to get on the dance floor. Almost every song we recommended or requested was played, and the variety of music appealed to every body present. The Live Events team was fantastic to work with. In the days leading up to the wedding they would answer any of my questions and the paperwork helped not only them but also me. During the wedding reception a lot of things ran a little late but our dj was able to roll with the changes and stayed in contact with us all night to double check on everything. There's really not enough good I can say. We became friends with Dennis, his family, and his crew over the last year and a half after we booked him early; and he absolutely delivered the entire package. I was a fussy bride and music is my passion I gave him a 150 song list of songs and he implemented them perfectly between cocktails, dinner, and dancing. We rented uplights that gave the perfect night club ambiance to our reception. The photo booth was adorable and has REAL props. He is professional and affordable for what they bring to the table. Run don't walk to book Live Events. He probably doesn't want me sharing this, but he even gave our toast at dinner (out wedding party was too nervous) and it was perfect! Dennis is amazing. I’ve had the opportunity to work with him several times now. Every time he is fun, professional, and super laid back. Whether he was running back and forth between the reception site and ceremony site, or setting up the photo booth he didn’t complain once. He worked effortlessly with myself and the student orchestra to ensure the couple got down the aisle exactly the way they wanted to. He is willing to work with the bride and groom in any way they request whether that be giving free range on songs, an exact list, or requests for karaoke. On top of that the bride and groom rented his photo booth. I’ve seen a lot of photo booths and I was really impressed with this one. The set up was professional, and overall just looked nice. The props were neatly placed on the table by Matt, the attendant, who stayed the entire time to help guests use the booth. Matt even helped by taping photo strips into a scrapbook for the bride and groom. This team is awesome, and definitely someone I would recommend. I look forward to working with them in the future! Dennis, you made this event the best it could have been. We feel your roll is most important in a successful wedding and it was a great success. Everyone had a great time. We were concerned that no one would get out and dance, and the dance floor was so full we had to move tables!!! It was so nice to get to meet you in person. I wish we could have conversed more, but I was so busy running around as you can imagine.

Our wedding didn't go as planned when a huge storm and tornado warnings moved in, but Eric was great and easy to work with when trying to rearrange the events and timeline. Having an awesome DJ was very important to me. I chose Dennis because of the reviews I read, and I’m so happy I did! He was very responsive and flexible with all my requests. Even when there was a little hiccup, he assured me not to worry and he made sure everything went smoothly and as planned. He was so friendly and many of my guests have complimented him. Dennis deserves far more than five stars for his DJ/MC services at our wedding reception! I knew I had made a good choice when I met Dennis in person after communication back and forth via email and phone, but I was blown away by how great of a job he did at our reception. Throughout the planning process, Dennis was incredibly helpful, available, and responsive, and I could tell he would be very easy to work with. It was clear he had plenty of great experience, and that experience translated into a packed dance floor all night.

In the weeks leading up to our reception, Dennis called me to make sure he was on the same page as us with respect to the type of music we were looking for. He absolutely nailed it! He did a great job of reading the crowd and seamlessly controlling the flow of events according to the schedule I had provided. I have received numerous compliments from my guests on how fantastic the music was, and I would not hesitate to recommend Dennis for any event needing a DJ!
