What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Being yourself. I want to know enough about you to bring out the best in you. Everyone has a body shape that needs to be considered, and look relaxed in poses.
Even children need to be natural and allowed to express themselves, so with gentle guidance from me, we will try to capture your portraits in the most flattering light and poses.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What are your expectations? What is the purpose for this session. Down to the season of the year, the environment you want to be in, the colors that you prefer, the statement that you are trying to make, details matter and communication is the key to letting me "see" what you want so I can deliver your vision. I have plenty of ideas if you have a general idea.
What do you love most about your job?
Being creative, getting to know my clients, and working together.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My own visions of portraits for my children and my family. Significant portraits were important, but the times when they were playing, not aware that I was taking their pictures..those portraits are on my wall, too. I loved what I saw and that inspired me to photograph those moments.
Why should our clients choose you?
I'm very easy to work with, I love to laugh, not uptight at all, will go with the flow, and truly enjoy working with people. I feel confident in my skills and if there is something outside of my comfort zone, I will let you know, but I love a challenge. I have a studio, so I work with strobes, but will shoot natural light to include a variety.
I prefer to offer prints in every form over just digital files. I know clients love to have the digitals, so I include that option in my print packages, but holding a print, canvas, album, it's so satisfying to see my client's face when they see and hold their precious memories.
Headshots-Branding
My studio is designed for Professional Head Shots, with the choice of White, Black, Grey, and Dark Mocha for backdrops.
I have a 2 and 3 light setup. You can look at your images right away, and will receive an online gallery so you can choose the images you want. I will fully edit the ones you choose, and you can download the digital files from your gallery, plus order prints.
If you are needing a location session for your branding, I can bring the necessary lights for that. Again, you choose the images you want.
I do recommend for the ladies, that you get your hair and makeup professionally done..I have local recommendations. Men, a new hair cut, either right away, or a week out. Depends on how you like it.
Clean teeth, and again, I will edit..whiten, brighten, blemishes, etc.
Newborn-Baby-Sitter
My studio is full of props for a Newborn Session, so I provide everything. Newborns Sessions are from 7-10 days old. Parents and Siblings are including in the full package, and I offer a Newborn Only package as well.
You will receive an online gallery with the images, so you choose the ones you want. I will fully edit them and then you can download them from your gallery.
I love Neutrals and Textures and will incorporate your nursery or home colors into the session.
This Newborn Season goes by fast, so planning ahead makes it easier. I also offer a 6-8 month Sitter Session, then a 1 Year Session. You can include a Cake Smash with the 1 year, and if the time if year is good, we can go outside as well.
Family
Late Summer, Fall, and Winter are my busy Family Session times. We have Sunflower Fields, beautiful Fall colors, and mild Winters, and Christmas Tree Farms, so that allows for Family Sessions during the holidays, too. When your family gets together, plan a Family Session. We have a few locations/venues that decorate for the seasons, so that's an added bonus if you want to incorporate decor into your session.
The venues fill up fast, so plan ahead and ask for my session schedule. A few of the venues allow Pets, so ask about that as well.
Senior, High School-College
Milestones, like your Senior Year need to be captured and remembered. In Mt Juliet, we have plenty of nature, fields, rivers, creeks, and being close to Nashville, we have Urban. Gallatin and Lebanon is nearby and they have the cutest town square..we get coffee when we go there.
If you love the plants and a Nursery theme..Gallatin has one of those.

All images will be on an online gallery, so you choose the ones you want.
Senior Session are so much fun, and with a full variety of locations nearby, it really makes the session easy.
Maternity
Do you love the setting sun in the fields Sessions, or the ease and drama of the studio? Depending on the season, we can do both if you want.
I'm slowly building up my Maternity Gowns for the studio, so if you have dresses and outfits that you love, we will use those.
Depending on your body, we set these sessions up starting at 24-36 weeks.
If you want to pamper yourself, I suggest professional hair and makeup.
Pets
Pets are just family members..and we love to include them in Family Sessions, or Pet only.
I have a studio to make it comfortable and easy, I can come to your home if that's better for your pet, or we can set up at a location that allows pets. Depends on your needs.
I love all the fur-babies..big or small.
