Mary Lou is a gifted hypnotherapist and healer. I sought her help dealing with a habit of grinding my teeth, a symptom of anxiety for which I take medication. The medicine didn't alleviate the problem, but hypnosis did. Mary Lou spent a couple of sessions doing regression therapy which allowed me to discover the source of much of my stress and anxiety. Then we worked on that, bringing my subconscious mind into the open so it could be recognized, examined and changed. I will run out of words to describe how amazing and how much value Mary Lou gave to me in return. I'm in my 20s who have been through a lot over my short years of life -- pains and joy, failures and successes, love and hate. I was overpowered by negative emotions that I locked away for such a long time bec I never knew how to deal with them, so I just shrugged them all off. Or so I thought. Little did I know, all of the negativity have festered and grew and I have reached my breaking point. In a world today of "do-it-yourself" and "just google it" was the way I was dealing with debilitating self doubt, anxiety, sorrow, self-pity and life difficulties. I was so grateful to meet Mary Lou. There was something about her when we first met that just simply felt right. Looking back now, it's the energy she radiates, her positivity and ability to share her own painful experiences which shows as if "yes that was me, but that doesnt define who i am"- message that you feel. Because of her, I was able to let go of my negative debilitating emotions, I started to trust and love myself and live in so much possibilities. I brought my 14 year old daughter to see Mary Lou. My daughter suffers from very high anxiety, ADD, sensory issues, and low self esteem. We have see therapists, physiologists, occupational therapists, and finally got her on medication. All of this was good, but I wasn't seeing the results I desperately wanted for my daughter. After much research I came across hypnosis and all the benefits it had to offer. I reviewed many hypnotherapist and liked the reviews for Mary Lou. Mary Lou got right back to me and did a free phone consultation. She took the time to really listen to this worried mom and after the phone call I knew my daughter and Mary Lou would be a great fit to work as a team. That is the approach Mary Lou takes. When we arrived at the first session I was pleasantly surprised by Mary Lou's personality. She is genuinely happy and very engaged with her clients. You feel like you are coming to see your close friend and biggest supporter. The connection between my teenage daughter (that should speak volumes) and Mary Lou was instant. I will be honest my daughter was not thrilled to be coming to see a hypnotherapist, but after that first appointment she has looked forward to each session. As a mom watching your child suffer is heartwrenching. Coming to these sessions left my heart filled with joy because someone other than me thought my child was as amazing as I think she is. I am impressed by Mary Lou's deep compassion and commitment to work on my guilt, shame and self-rejection issues. She took time to connect, listen and understand my concerns and questions. She was accepting and non-judgmental and most of all, remained calm at all times. She provided a safe space for me to work on my issues during the hypnosis sessions with warmth and kindness. I went to see Mary Lou to deal with some of my anxiety/panic attacks problems that I’d been having my entire life. Little did I know, she’d help me transform my entire mental and emotional outlook on life. When I first started seeing Mary Lou, I had never been hypnotized before. I was actually quite nervous because I’d had no prior knowledge of the subject. To my surprise, when I was hypnotized, it was this lovely feeling of being free and being able to clear my head of anything and everything that my mind was spinning around. Since I have gone through hypnotherapy I have gained many other amazing results from just a few sessions. I was no longer feeling like I was in a state of anxiety but in a happier and more outgoing state. I didn’t feel held back anymore. Other issues I’d been dealing with such as mood swings, nightmares, and just my outlook on life improved dramatically. My confidence was back! I was gaining control of my life again.
