We went for dinner last night. Food was awesome! I had the steak special, I did think $16 was a little high for a 6oz sirloin, green beans, salad, and small potato. But, my steak was excellent! Serve was great too! We will definitely try it out again! More...

We had an excellent dinner tonight for my Moms 60th Birthday! Christopher was amazing and attentive. We had 3 kids in tow and he made sure they were all happy and had fully tummies when they left! We brought our own cake which was cut for us and plated as well. The meat and cheese platter was beyond superb and had an outstanding variety. Steaks were cooked perfectly to order, shrimp Alfredo was not thick and heavy like most places but light and full of flavor! Thankyou for making a small Birthday dinner with family a night we'll remember for years to come! More...

We had a great dinner tonight beginning with warm cornbread and an exquisite honey-nut butter. Appetizers
(perogies and bruschetta) were generously portioned and delicious. Main entrees were equally delicious and oversized.
Prices are incredibly reasonable for the high caliber of food. Wait staff is cordial and efficient. Great family atmosphere in the restaurant area. We'll be back.

We came with a group of 10 for lunch today from work and the food was absolutely amazing. Everything on the menu has that homemade taste. Stopped for dinner with our 3 children lastnight. Our waitress was so sweet. The kids devoured the cornbread quickly. It was delicious. Our waitress was nice enough to bring more for them. Kids meals were plentiful and everyone enjoyed what they got. My husband had the wings and loved them. Burgers were huge and cooked to perfection. The menu had a nice variety of options. Sorry took me so long but I wanted to say thank you so much for all of you and your family did for us for my daughter's baby sprinkle. I don't think I've ever seen an establishment where the owners go out of their way to make sure that you are comfortable and well taken care of. The food is outstanding and the price is also very reasonable. Thank you again for everything. More...

In April, I reserved the outdoor patio for a Bridal Shower for my future daughter in law for early June and it was wonderful. They promised me it would be cleaned up, new plants would be planted for the season, they would up a white fence to block the generator and they came through. They had the patio ready when I arrived and Barbie arranged the seating and tables exactly how I wanted them and she was a fabulous server for the event. The food was ready when the guests arrived and it was great. I was so happy with the venue, the food, the service and the personal attention to detail. I would definitely recommend Hepingers for a party or just for dinner. More...

They decorated the tables with black table cloths, fabric napkins, beautiful silverware and wine glasses. It looked so pretty upstairs where it all took place . They went put of their way to make it perfect and the waitresses were on top of it!! They even d j'd it and made room for us to dance. Legacy Tavern has a relatively new(month or so) Executive Chef, Eric Miller. We had visited this restaurant a few minths ago and honestly weren't impressed, but heard about this new chef and wanted to stop in. to see what had changed. We both started off with a house salad complete with tomatoes, red and green peppers, and cucumbers. It was a mixture of greens and romaine which was a nice change to regular house salads. We also enjoyed an unusual appetizer. Mozzarella wrapped in a wonton and deep fried with a side of marinara. A new take on your average cheesestick. The entrees were FANTASTIC! Blue cheese crusted filet mignon, mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. Both our steaks were cooked to an absolute perfect med rare and medium, topped with the perfect amount of blue cheese. The steaks were set atop a mound of creamy garlic , mashed potatoes and then perfectly grilled asparagus that had a hint of lemon butter. It was honestly one of the better steak dinners we have had in awhile which surprised both of us. Dessert was chocolate overload! Chocolate edible cups filled with a chocolate mousse, whipped cream and a raspberry drizzle. Pure perfection. Very sweet, but every calorie was worth it! Overall the meal was to die for.My only complaint, which is what I remember from the last visit, is that there are family members present in the restaurant that should not be there. It's a place of employment, not a lounge area for people to hang around. It totally kills the vibe, especially if you are there for a romantic meal or date. Not to mention the fact that it's just down right weird. Go to a private area if you have to be there, not out in the middle of customers where they are eating. Pretty sure I can't be the only person who hs complained or brought this up. More...

If you're looking for a solid wing night place, this is my strong recommendation. I'd honestly say these guys rival Quaker steak, and any other chain you might be used to. My family and I go almost every Thursday and are not disappointed! I'm mystified by those who say this is a "sketchy" part of town. It's literally across the street from W&J stadium and has several reputable businesses surrounding it. I trust that area enough to let my kids walk there by themselves. As far as the "smoking", we've been here over two dozen times and I've never once smelled smoke. Servers are very friendly and clearly work hard. Also food is great quality for the price. Is the place perfect? No. But where the hell can you get great tasting all-you-can-eat wings that aren't greasy for $12? This ain't Ruth Chris, so hike up your skirt and go try this place.Five stars. Hepingers Tavern is a little restaurant and bar in Washington,Pa. Located on South Main St. The food was good, family had the Pot Roast bowl, tender roast beef in a tasty gravy, served over top of Horseradish Mashed Potatoes, very good. The BBQ Bacon Burger was your typical burger, topped with bacon, american cheese, and bbq sauce. I had the Breakfast Burger, really good. A half pound pork belly burger, topped with cheese, bacon, and a fried egg. And using waffles as the bun, with maple syrup on the side for dipping, i will get this again. A side of onion rings with a southwest dipping sauce rounded out a good meal. A second trip to Hepingers is in order. More...

I came here for the first time with a Groupon. Upon entering, I was slightly startled by how little seating there is for the restaurant half of the building. Very tiny, probably 8 to 10 tables maybe? Cozy and cute though. Our waitress started by bringing a delicious basket of corn bread with some sort of honey nut butter which was to die for. It was a pleasant surprise to get cornbread instead of regular bread for once. The carafe of water for the table was super nice too so you dont have to keep asking for refills. My boyfriend ordered a build your own burger with two beef patties. I ordered the chicken and waffles. A few moments after ordering, the manager Taylor came out and regretfully told me that they were out of chicken. For the same price of my chicken and waffles, she offered me a steak. I was more than willing to substitute, seeing that I would be paying only $10 for a $20 meal, and I Love Steak.Everything came out perfect. My boyfriends burger was HUGE. They even have a pound and a half burger on the menu that I don't know how anyone would be able to finish, but I'd love to see it! Also, their fresh cut fries were great. The only negative thing I have to say is about the wait. I read in previous reviews that the food took a long time to arrive, but the reason for that is the quality is FAR better since everything is cooked up to order. I was totally expecting the wait, so it's not like it ruined my night or anything. Can't wait to come back! After the Groupon, my total bill only came to 8 dollars More...

We were going to the tavern to hear some live music. We decided to have dinner before hand so we made reservations. The restaurant part is small. It was about 6 tables. It's quaint but welcoming. It feels home-y. We sat down and checked out the menu. It's definitely American fare. There was meatloaf, Chicken and Waffles, Shrimp and Grits, and other entrees. They had burgers and sandwiches also no with a nice choice of appetizers. I ordered the Pot Roast bowl. My husband ordered Chicken Pot pie. We like to share our food so we were excited. There are a couple of menu items that took a little bit of time. It was noted on the menu and then the waitress told us also. My Pot Roast bowl had real mashed potatoes in the bottom. They were laced with horseradish. Then there were huge chunks of pot roast on top. The roast was almost melt in your mouth. It had a great flavor as if it had been slow cooked for days. The horseradish brought a zing to the dish. I really enjoyed it. The potatoes were taken to another level.  I never would have thought to add horseradish, but I loved it.  The pot pie was an item that needed a little extra time. It was worth it. The crust on top was fluffy layer after fluffy layer. It was crisp but light. The inside was very creamy. It had a great flavor and filled with veggies and chicken. It was better than Mom used to make. The third person at our table ordered a burger. It was huge. It looked delicious and the person eating it said that it really was. I was so delightfully surprised that I texted the wives of two other couple that we go to dinner with to tell them on our next night out that I wanted us to come to the tavern. I sent photos of our food and they were sold. After we ate we went to the bar to listen to the live music. The music was really good. In both the restaurant and the bar the service was excellent. The one thing I was not a fan of was that smoking was allowed in the bar area. It's been years since I've been in an establishment that allowed smoking. UGH. So you can skip the bar but go to the restaurant if you are a non smoker. More...

Met a few friends here for dinner tonight. Luckily it wasn't very busy & we were seated right away. Our waitress was sweet and attentive. There are basically three separate areas to this place: the quaint inside dining room, the outside patio, & the bar. It was a nice evening so we sat outside. The cheese wontons were amazing and I highly recommend this tasty treat; the special jalapeno/cheese pierogies had just the right amount of kick; my friend couldn't stop raving about her small arugula salad & I couldn't believe it had edible flowers! I was jealous, to be honest, but was soon thrilled to see the flowers served on my BLT Pasta dish! Dessert was great: cheesecakes & dessert pierogies with apple filling. I wish I lived closer so I could try more of this diverse and eclectic menu! More...
