Always enjoy a visit to Lee’s ... kind of like stepping back in time. Some customers complain that the restaurant hasn’t been updated through the years, but for us . .. that’s one of the coolest things about it. The chicken was hotter than a pistol and the baked potatoes were actually baked all the way through. Food was outstanding and the portions are quite generous. Prices are more than reasonable for the amount and quality of the food. Our server was very friendly, prompt, and attentive. Casual, comfortable, fun atmosphere. I’m stuffed!!! More...

I want to thank you for the excellent service and food on Sat 2/9/2019. Lee's holds a lot of great memories for me and my extended family. Growing up in the 70s and 80s, every time my relatives on my Mom's side would come from Colorado, all of our aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins would meet at Lee's. it was part of our family tradition. Walking into Lee's last Sat after a nearly 30 year absent, was surreal. Everything was exactly the same, and in a good way! Thank you so much for never changing! 5 Stars! More...

The food at Lee’s is always good...when you get it!! Key words ‘when you get it’. The last two times we got takeout: first we didn’t get our Lee’s sour cream that we paid extra for. This time, my husband checked to make sure we got our Lee’s sour cream before he left and low and behold NOT so the guy had to go get it. Second, we always order and pay extra for all white meat. When he got home with the food, no white meat. This is ridiculous....who’s running the kitchen?! Does anyone have a handle on it. I did call this time and complained. If Justin actually comes thru with his promise, we should receive a gift certificate in the mail. Management needs to address QC for orders!! More...

I’m from Omaha and I must say this place is DEFINITELY worth the drive. We found it by accident on our way to a concert nearby. The chicken is amazing and the piano guy is charming. I just put this place in my top three favorite chicken joints next to Alpine Inn and Richies chicken in Omaha! Thank you Lee’s Chicken for a great meal!!! Xoxo More...

I've been going to Lee's since I was kid. When I moved away for college, several years had passed before finally getting back. I was concerned things might have changed, but not a detail did. From the onion rings to the chicken, Lee's has become a regular for me again! Only now it's me bringing my family. More...

I've been coming to Lee's since before I can remember. Mother's day, father's day, birthdays, and sometimes just because. As far back as my memory goes the high quality of their food has been consistent, as well as the down home atmosphere . I've had good and bad experiences with service here, but more often than not my family and I are treated fairly and leave satisfied. My most recent visit was last night. My wife and I made a date to visit the C & L Dairy Sweet (another long standing hidden gem) across the street from Lee's to try their famous lemon ice cream. As we enjoyed our cones we decided that not visiting Lee's while we were so close would be a crime. As we entered we were greeted by the sound of Billy Joel's Piano Man being played on the organ. I'm not sure how often live music is played there, but when he's there it's a real treat. He'll take requests and in between songs he'll make his way around and introduce himself. I can't recall his name, but he's very cordial and polite. We were seated promptly in a booth near the bar. The decor of Lee's hasn't changed a bit since I've know it. It's almost like a time machine to the past, but it's not run down or dirty. This place has real lived in character. The waitress was very attentive and took our drink orders right away. In no time we had gotten our drinks and placed our order. My wife ordered the chicken strip dinner with fries and I got the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy and a cup of chicken noodle soup. We enjoyed the music as we waited, and in about five minutes she brought me my soup and rolls with butter for each of us. Now I've had Lee's chicken noodle soup many times before, and it's always been good. But for some reason last night it was spectacular! There were plenty of pieces of fresh chicken, carrots, and noodles in my cup and it was the perfect temperature. Not long after we finished our rolls and soup our meals arrived. Everything was perfect and fresh, the chicken and fries still steaming hot from the fryer. My mashed potatoes were fluffy and delicious and the gravy was savory and hot. As we ate, the organist started playing happy birthday as two complimentary sundaes adorned with lit sparklers were brought out from behind the bar and brought to two surprised patrons who were celebrating their birthdays. After we finished our meals the check came along with complimentary pieces of bubblegum, another Lee's tradition. For two great meals, two cold drinks, great service and good memories, $30 is not a bad price. We left full and happy, and stopped again at C & L Dairy Sweet across the street for a quart of their lemon ice cream to go. We'll be coming back to both places again and again for years to come. Lee's is a one of a kind restaurant. It easily rivals the original Strouds of fame in Kansas City. The place is very 50's, 60's decor. Lots of wood...a warm pleasant environment to eat in. Lots of seating with nostalgic photos of cars and other sights from the 40's, 50's and 60's throughout. The staff are wonderful and dedicated. The chicken? Well, I can't describe just how delicious it is. Not oily or greasy. Texture and flavor perfect! The batter is absolutely amazing, tasty, and greasless. Cheyenne treated us folks very well, great sense of humor and on the way to doing big things in the livestock world. This place is what a restaurant should be like. More...
