This caterer has absolutely been the best! I live in the city of Deltona and there's been a lot of controversy Within the city between the residents and those who represent us. When they took what was supposed to be our community Center and created it into an event center a lot of residents refused to ever go there. They started holding Sunday brunches and as part of my responsibility as a resident I wanted to keep an eye on this unwanted investment. I started attending from day one. The city may not have gotten many things right but the one thing the city did right is hiring this caterer to fulfill our Sunday brunches. Leefayes has had to overcome so much I'm surprised any caterer would take on this huge risk. As a city we have not done our part to ensure this caterer sees the most success and I truly would like to apologize to leefayes for that.This past Sunday Leefayes catered another brunch and the word had gotten out how amazing the previous brunches were and we had a much larger turnout then what we told leefayes we would have. What people need to understand is that leefayes is a caterer therefore it is the city's responsibility to ensure she has a good head count as we all know Caterers are not restaurants and cannot just whip up more food. Because we as a city failed we started running out of food and this in no way reflects on leefayes as a caterer, as I know how catering works and we as a city are the ones who dropped the ball. Despite starting to run out of food Leefayes did an absolutely amazing job. Monica was just as upset as those showing up late to less food available...probably moreso. In talking with Monica before leaving she mentioned she has never ran out of food before and it really upset her. I inquired about our headcount and we gave her a headcount of less than 100...we had about 200 come. Our head count was way off.. even with her making extra (food for 150) obviously some things would run out. I know there was a few people who were upset that the food was running out but again I hope they understand that Leefayes is a caterer not a restaurant. I hope anyone who felt they didnt have a great experience will rsvp and come to another brunch and give Leefayes a second chance. It's unfortunate that even though the city gave too low of a headcount..most will blame the caterer. Dont hold it against Leefayes and give them another try, you wont regret it!Ps.. no i dont work for Leefayes or the city. I am just a resident who is keeping close tabs on the event center/city. From my first meeting with Monica, I knew I chose the right caterer for my daughter's baby shower at the Event Center at Deltona. Throughout my planning, Monica was very quick to reply to all my emails, was very polite and helpful, VERY patient, has awesome menu choices, very fair pricing with no hidden charges. Her food was DELICIOUS and there was plenty. Please keep in touch with her regarding your head count because she is very good at providing enough food if she knows how many guests will be dining. I, personally, made sure she knew how many guests 10 days prior and again 3 days prior... It was PERFECT.Lastly... The staff!! ❤️ What An awesome group!!! There was Nothing they would not do for us, if they could. Very happy bunch who were eager to make our experience one to remember with a smile... And we will. Definitely will use again! More...
