Communication was easy and we have a totally gorgeous, functional website. Hooray!!

Scott is my go to person for all things related to websites and support. Originally Scott took one of my websites and adapted it to be user friendly for all platforms and took over the security aspects. Then when I started up another business he designed the website, logo and maintains the website for me.

Scott is on the east coast and I am on the west coast - that is irrelevant for him meeting my needs and he always exceeds my expectations.

Both websites are on completely different platforms with completely different needs and he handles it all so well.

I have a need and he responds promptly - either to say he has fixed the issue or he is busy with another client but will look at it and provides the estimated response time.

Cannot say enough great things and refer others to him when they express a need for wed design and support services.

Scott took my old static web site and transformed it into a beautiful responsive site. For over six years, Scott has kept my site updated and working well. My site has users all over the world and I constantly get comments on what a beautiful, clean site it is. He made it easy for users to submit forms and register. Scott is friendly, helpful and quick to respond to my needs and ideas about the site. He’s definitely tops in my book. I didn’t know anything about Scott and I live across the country from him, but having him create and maintain my website was the best decision I could have made. More...

Q&As

A great website is a combination of factors, relevant content, user-friendly design, well coded pages and reliable hosting. Each of these elements work together to make a successful website.

There are many factors as to why someone might arrive at your site, but good content, is what keeps them there, and brings them back repeatedly. Visitors to your site are looking for information about you, your product or the service you provide. Knowing what your visitors will want will inform what content you provide on your website.

How your website is designed is closely linked to the content it provides. Good design makes your content easy to read, easy to find and comfortable to navigate. This involves everything from a clear hierarchy of information, to logically structured navigation systems, to intuitive search features.

How a website is coded is important so that your website displays correctly in all the major browsers and is easily crawled by search engines. This ensures that your websites are more readily found by your customers when they search for services or products that you provide. It also ensures that once they go to your website, it will look good on all devices and browsers.

Reliable hosting is crucial for fast loading pages and maximum uptime. There are many tiers of hosting, choosing the right one will help you avoid problems down the road. Hosts that provide HTTP/2 and free SSL are generally good hosts. Additionally being able to rely on them when things go wrong is really important. Good, reliable customer support is a big factor when choosing a web host.

1/ What do you want the website to do. Is this a marketing website, a personal website or an ecommerce website?

2/ Do you already have a website? If so do you have access to the web host and the domain name registrar?

3/ If we are building a website from scratch, what elements will you need? For example, a blog, contact forms, a web store. Will you be providing the written content and images? Roughly how many pages will be needed?

4/ Will you need me to set up any social media pages? For example; an Instagram feed, a Google My Business page, a Facebook or Twitter page.

I’m someone that enjoys building things, I like crafting a website into something that functions well and does what the client needs. There is also the problem solving aspect to web design that is very rewarding. Any project will encounter bumps along the way, I find it satisfying to find a way to make things work.

I like the freedom of working for myself. I have a more macro view of all jobs so I know immediately what will work and what won’t and I think that brings value to my clients. I’m able to work more closely with them since I’m not going through layers of support staff, so updates to a design or technical problems get handle quickly.

I’ve been building websites for 8+ years, I’ve worked on everything from hand-coding simple informational websites to full ecommerce websites with Wordpress and Woocommerce. I’m reliable and honest, I believe that the best marketing I can ever do; is to do a great job for my clients. I always look to develop repeat business by being easy to work and offer solutions to what ever challenges are put before me.

I hope you’ll consider me for your next project, I look forward to working with you.

I work primarily as a remote developer, communication is done via email or chat; file sharing is done via Dropbox. I generally use OSX Messages for texting, or I can set up a Slack channel too for multiple stakeholders if needed. I don't generally need to communicate over the phone; but I can be available for telephone or Zoom calls if needed.

I don't have any direct contact with clients, unless they are local and ask for a meeting. I'm fully vaccinated and follow CDC protocols with regard to social distancing and mask wearing.
