It was time to take professional photos of my twins as it had been years...I did not want any cookie cutter package. I have known Laura personally for many years and have viewed many of her photographs . ..so I knew that she was going to be the perfect photographer to create my vision. Laura has photographed two of my cousins' weddings, my family's yearly and Christmas pictures, as well as pregnancy pictures. Her work is very creative and thoughtful. My husband and I chose Laura to be our photographer for 6-month shots, after not having had newborn photos taken. We could not have made a better choice. Laura and her assistant coaxed some beautiful smiles out of our little boy. She was very accommodating of our photo ideas, and also full of creative suggestions and tasteful photo props when we weren't sure what we wanted. She also took some lovely family shots that made all of us look great, even though my husband and I had a tough time looking and smiling at the camera, not the baby. Having a family of her own, Laura was comfortable and gentle when holding and positioning our son, who adored her. The entire session, in her home studio, was cozy and relaxed, and Laura didn't bat an eye when we needed to take a breastfeeding break halfway through. Afterward, she had our fully edited online photo gallery posted in about a week, and when we finally found the time to order prints WEEKS later, we had them within days. Taking family photos is stressful in my opinion but working with Laura managed to change my view. Her kind patient demeanor made the photo shoot relaxed and dare I say fun. She was able to beautifully capture all my children’s personalities in the photos. I hired Laura for my maternity pictures and newborn lifestyle photo shoot and was very pleased with the results of both! The quality of the photos was great and Laura came prepared with props and ideas to both sessions. Perhaps what I liked most about working with Laura was the creative interchange that we had. We chose to do the maternity session at a farm and Laura was very patient as a very-pregnant me walked around to get different shots. For the lifestyle session, she was tender with our baby and very accommodating about incorporating our extras, like the dog and garden. The pictures came out just as we had hoped. We booked Laura for our at home newborn photoshoot in January and we could not be more pleased with the photos she took. Laura made us feel extremely relaxed during the shoot and she was so patient. It was really important to us that we included our family dog in the pictures, and she went above and beyond to make sure we got some good pictures that included him. She was able to find good light in our somewhat darker nursery, which was awesome because including the nursery in the pictures was very important to us as well. I highly recommend Laura for a newborn photoshoot and we plan to book her for our sons pictures moving forward! More...
