Web Design

Andrew is a very bright young man. He is also extremely intelligent and patient. He listens and then he puts things together, and if he is unfamiliar with a situation he asks questions and/or researches the matter until he is comfortable.

Additionally, once he understands what you want, he is able to suggest/add improvements. He most definitely knows his profession.

I would describe him as organized, prompt, knowledgeable, great written and verbal communication skills, appears ambitious with a great work ethic, intelligent with great listening skills.

Andrew Largé is by far the best of the best! I’ve worked with multiple photographers and graphic designers in my years of modeling and MUA set work but none of them have had the patience and vision of Largé Arts. He takes all the time in the world to make sure you are happy with the shots and edits you receive. High attention to detail and listens well to others opinions. If you are new to modeling or set work, Andrew is the perfect introduction!! More...

Working with Drew at Largé Arts was an easy choice for us. Our community theatre organization needed a new website and we contacted Drew thanks to another community organization’s positive recommendation. Drew met with us to hear our needs, mapped out a new site for us, designed the whole thing, and delivered it in 45 days. It has been a boon for ticket sales and improving our reputation. I would highly recommend Drew for your next project! More...

Q&As

Originality is a key component to an exceptional website. In order to achieve this, each of the elements below are essential in achieving a robust website and web presence that I strongly recommend in every web development project or overhaul.

• User-friendly Web Design for laptop/desktop and mobile platforms
• Strategic development of website Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
• Google My Business Setup and Assistance
• Creative Writing development styled to fit rhetorical demographic
• Routine web and social-media maintenance

• Who is the main point of contact for the duration of the project?
• Does the Client have any content/visual specific goals for the final product?
• What is the intended project start date?
• When does the project have to be finalized?
• Is there a fixed budget requirement/restriction for the current project, or a flexible budget range?
• How would the client prefer to purchase creative services, via PayPal, cash or check?

So there are some main points that I like to address with a new client when it comes to how I go about shooting and developing photography. Some of these elements go hand in hand. Others are merely an opinion or option and based upon the clients personal aesthetic goals when it come to the overall scope and visual direction of a project.

1. Prioritizing good lighting
Regardless of when I’m shooting any type of photograph, good lighting is always a main priority. Quality lighting helps me to emphasize a space, structure, atmosphere or individual. This helps in shaping my visual understanding of what is important in that specific assignment.

2. Shooting in a variety of weather conditions and times of day
People often tend to seek the most dramatic lighting to shoot, such as sunset hours, the golden hour if you will, when shadows are long and colors bright. But sometimes, Shooting a series of images during different times of the day, or even in various weather conditions, can help to paint a fuller story of the subjects relationship with its surrounding environment. But also if we are seeking a specific theme, this can also come into play so there is more options to create consistency in post processing.

3. Look for the unique qualities
Playing with perspective is not only an entertaining thing to do, it can also be very rewarding. Taking time to find a different angle from which to photograph can expose an overlooked form or abstraction of detail that may give rise to another level of beauty and appreciation. In the matter of candid photography or even in portraiture, I’m constantly looking for the human element that brings life to an image. You can’t beat real emotions, interactions and reactions in people when sensible to do so.

4. Don’t be afraid to include people in architectural shoots
Historically, there has been a trend not to include people in architectural photography, and I say that is true if the human presence is taking focus away from the architectural design and aesthetic. So really I more often don’t include people in my architectural work unless it makes since to do so. And I always like to tell this to a client, architecture doesn’t and wouldn't exist without us — so I don’t right off the idea right away because human presents can also bring reality and life to a lifeless structure as well. This brings us back to perspective in regards to scale. This I think is more relevant in one of my favorite and rewarding shots as a architectural photographer was shooting Piazza San Marco Square in Venice!

5. Explore details as much as the whole
Even though I methodically shoot real estate both interior and exterior with a wide-angle lens, there are also properties that contain something special that requires a different approach. Maybe that’s hundreds of intricate little details that are lost when an entire facade or room is shot in one frame. I find that exploring those details close up might reveal something new about the construction, that could be utilized as ascent photography on a website, a social media post or even something for hard-copy for example, like a bifold brochure or maybe a new business card design.

7. Use post-processing tools
Processing images has become quite a standard part of any type of photography. It’s a big part of that creative artistic element that allows me to tweak photographs to cleanly match that atmosphere you want to capture in a landscape or the twinkle in someones eye. While images should only be altered with a clear understanding of what kind of changes are acceptable, that is my dominant skillset with both Photoshop and Lightroom. Both those programs have a wide variety of advanced functions such as lens corrections, lighting and color adjustments to achieve a theme, look, and feel that is consistent between all shots.

Prior to the creative process, I ask clients to please provide and finalize the necessary project details as laid out below.

• Detailed description laying out services needed
• Intended start date & project deadline
• Budget based on scope of project
• Name & reliable contact information for client
• Sign a mutual agreement final Project Proposal (not needed for all projects)
• Purchase creative services via PayPal, Zelle, Venmo, cash or check

I love my work, and hesitate to call it that. Everyday is a new creative exploration of thought that I get to share with new faces, businesses and organizations. Networking with new people and exploring their ideas is inspiring, often challenging me to seek out new organic means to fit the intended direction of a project.

It was once expressed to me, “where ever you decide to take your life, always do what you love.”  These words sustain the essence of my motivation to continue thinking creatively, pleased to lend my experience as a creative photographer and design thinker to any impactful project.

From the time I could walk and hold a crayon, my passion for the arts and visual media has been a deeply rooted part of my existence.  As an adolescent, I started pulling my inspiration from the creative energy of the Pacific Northwest, soon becoming a significant part of my personal aesthetic.

Naturally my goal became to start using my talents professionally in photography and graphic design, utilizing  Adobe Creative programs such as Photoshop and Illustrator.  Now, after establishing my business in 2009, working freelance has enhanced my ability to work productively and professionally to meet priority deadlines while maintaining quality.

As a Creative, I’ve had the pleasure of developing eye catching visuals, melding together in support of brand characteristics for a diverse group of companies and organizations.  Providing my contemporary experience in Photomedia and Interdisciplinary Visual Art, I utilize my skill-set to create imagery and graphic necessities that fit my clients intended direction.

After my time at Olympic College in Bremerton and the University of Washington, I have constructed aesthetically pleasing layouts and visual aids while designing and maintaining website outlets for companies and organizations all around the Northwest. From 5 star vacation rental company Hood Canal Grand Cottage in Poulsbo (www.hoodcanalgrandcottage.com), Central Stage Theatre in Silverdale (www.cstock.org), to Bryans Meat Co. in Pasco (www.bryansmeatcompany.com).

I learned early on, quality should be “on point” from the core outward. This means no matter the canvas of the current project, the goal is to always be professionally passionate and maintain perseverance; staying intimately involved in the creative process until the client is satisfied.
