In February 2019 I fell on the ice and injured my shoulder. Unfortunately I also ended up with frozen shoulder. I was directed to Lake Washington Physical Therapy by my Orthopedic doctor. Jordan Bork PT, DPT, CSCS, CFSC was excellent from start to finish. He put me immediately at ease with both his obvious experience/expertise and his engaging personality. Jordan helped me to understand what was actually wrong with my body and how to help get back to full mobility as quickly as possible. Keep up with the homework, listen, and have some fun conversations while healing. Jordan is sharp and knows what he's doing. I hope I never need to see him again ;) . But, if I ever needed PT again, I'd request Jordan and Lake Washington Physical Therapy. Everyone that I met in the office was great. More...

I want to thank Jordan for making my first physical therapy experience something I actually looked forward to each week-having never had to do anything like that is 71 years I admit it was scarey to think about-but the entire staff was welcoming and understanding and my arm and shoulder are as good as new.  If I ever need physical therapy again I would definitely return.  Thank you all and special thanks to Jordan. Robert (Bob) is my physical therapist and he is younger so he was easy to get along with and relate to. He found out what was giving me pain faster than any other person I've seen. And I can say that I've seen a few people for lower back/hip pain. He didn't need any X-rays, just a few sessions to see how I responded. I think I've been seeing him for 2 months at max and I'm confident with his treatments. I have Boeing insurance so visits weren't too expensive. They took a week or two to process though.Everyone there is polite and friendly. It is a fairly small space but they definitely make it work. 10/10 would recommend Robert! More...

I've never seen a better PT than Matt. As a weightlifter, he has worked with me on multiple things. He has made sure my minor injuries didn't become major ones and worked with me on movement patterns and recruiting the correct muscles. Matt is incredibly knowledgeable but what sets him apart is how much he cares about his patients. His whole team is friendly, smart and helpful.  I completely trust Lake Washington Physical Therapy and couldn't recommend them more. More...

I am a 60+ year old Alzheimers caregiver and pulled every muscle in my back helping my Dad pick my mother up. After seeing my PCP, he recommended PT and I set up appointments with Megan. I soon saw she has knowledge and skills I had never seen in physical therapy before. The exercises she gave me reduced the pain and helped inbeteen visits. Megan wasn't available always, so I scheduled with Natalie. She is able to do tissue massage on my back w/o bruising, which also works very well. These women have saved my bacon! More...

Megan at Lake Washington physical therapy is an excellent physical therapist. She paired me up with the right exercise program, set me up with the app and sent me exercises with videos that demoed how to do them. Her positive and encouraging style was instrumental in keeping me on the path to healing. She was helpful in crystallizing my thinking about what the most holistic treatment plan should be for me between the various providers like chiropractic etc.In addition she made important referrals to surgeons that worked out very well. The facility itself is very good, they have more unique ideas and equipment and exercises than can be believed. On the rare occasions when Megan has been on vacation the other therapists have filled in very ably; they're also very good. I've had to go to PT for a few injuries over the years.  This place is THE BEST!I've been to several different places for treatment.  One was two doors from my work, but it was like a dungeon.  Sketchy as all get out and they actually inflicted more harm then healing.  So I cringed when my doc sent me to PT after a recent car accident.  But he recommended LWPT and the experience here couldn't be better!  Everyone here is super nice.  They all know my name and greet me warmly when I arrive.  The office is clean, professional and comfortable.  My therapist, Sam, has a calm, competent air about her that makes you feel as though you're in good hands.  Hopefully I won't need PT again after this.  But if I do, I know where I'm going. She explained the various exercises in ways that I could understand and made my take home exercises "do-able" and not too overwhelming.Nick and Wendell at the front desk were always very friendly and welcoming. Matt and his wife Kelli were very engaging as well. I'm planning to stop in and say hello to them all because I enjoyed my time with them all so much. The space itself is very nice and new. I am convinced that they are wizards here. All of the PTs here really know their stuff and the front desk staff is very helpful as well. I've been elsewhere for PT and this is absolutely the best.I see Jess every week - originally for what I thought was run-of-the-mill hip pain/weakness exacerbated by marathon training, but she figured out that it was more serious and referred me to an orthopedic surgeon. It turned out that I needed hip surgery - Jess and a PT student actually came and *observed* the surgery! She talked to the surgeon on the spot to come up with a recovery protocol for me based on what they observed in my joint. She went above and beyond to make everything go well. The best part - I'm recovering ahead of schedule and Jess and her (sometimes evil, but always doable) exercises definitely are a big contributing factor to that. I'm going to be back out running before I know it!The atmosphere is so uplifting as well. The floor plan is open, so it feels very friendly and less like a medical environment.Shockingly, I've really come to look forward to my weekly appointments. The goal is, of course, to eventually phase-out of PT, but if/when that happens, I'm actually going to miss coming here. More...

In late 2014 I came in to see Nicole for a frozen shoulder. She was warm, caring, extremely competent and fully invested in getting my shoulder back to normal. But more than that, she noticed my rounded shoulders which I assumed came with age. However, I learned that  shoulder and posture are connected and that with exercises and therapy both could improve. Thoroughly, step-by-step, she got my shoulder moving and my posture straighter.  What a bonus! LWPT has been my #1 choice for physical therapy and sports fitness advice for several years now. Thankfully, I have only been a patient once in all of the years I have known them which was for a shoulder/rotator cuff strain. I credit this to the education level and commitment from their staff who have helped me with my physical fitness pursuits and health throughout the years. Not only have they analyzed my run gait, but they host informative, health-based seminars on different running techniques, alternative therapies, and injury prevention strategies. They also helped out fit me with the right workout and running shoes which make a huge difference when you are on your feet for multiple hours/week. As an avid fitness enthusiast, this is so important for me to keep on moving - healthily and happily. When I experienced my shoulder injury, I felt defeated and weak, scared of my limitations. Megan (my PT) listened to me and my needs and not only helped encourage me to dedicate myself to my rehabilitation, but in a way that was in compliment to my weekly exercise regime. It was also easy to get on her schedule and make adjustments as necessary. One great perk were the text alerts when a new appointment opening came up which I was able to capitalize on several occasions. Overall, my experience has been positive and friendly with LWPT, and happily recommend them for whatever your fitness ailment may be. More...

LWPT is amazing - truly amazing!  The physical therapists are fantastic - I've seen both Ben and Heidi a number of times.  Each time I get injured, they patch me back up . They even get me to do the exercises at home by making them interesting and not overwhelming. (I'm kind of lazy - this is a miracle.)  After a bad first experience at another physical therapy place (unrelated to LWPT), I was astonished by the quality of care and depth of knowledge the PTs possess.  And they're kind and funny so fun to work with. Interestingly, they also have a bit of retail.  If you buy sneakers from them, LWPT contributes a portion of the purchase price to charity - but the shoes are the same price as in any store so that comes directly out of their profits.  Kind, caring, humorous - and good music is always playing in the background.  What more could you ask for? It seems lake Washington PT has created a very loyal group of acupuncturist, chiropractors, massage therapist, orthopedic surgeons and clients. I was provided several recommendations for Lake Wa PT, in fact no other clinic was ever mentioned in my search for the right fit. These recommendations came fromAll over, from as far as Renton to Bellevue to several in Kirkland. Lake WA PT was great! All the physical therapist were friendly, knowledgeable, intelligent, had creative solutions that I felt were outside the "regular box" and my therapist Nicole didn't waste my time while I was there. I have done physical therapy where I spent most the time with an aid- not the case here. You will be spending your time with your physical therapist. Lake WA PT has no shortage of friendly staff either. My questions and requests were always answered and taken care of quickly- even once I was rehabilitated and was no longer needing physical therapy. I had a very tricky schedule between work and children and they did there very best to accommodate my schedule. I give 5 stars and would recommend it to family friends and neighbors. More...

I had the wonderful opportunity to be an intern and shadow the physical therapists at Lake Washington Physical Therapy for 2 months this past summer. I was a bit nervous on my first day because I was worried that maybe being a PT was not what I thought it was going to be. This stupid feeling quickly went away, right when I walked into the clinic.  I was greeted by Matt (who I would be shadowing), as well as all the other PTs at LWPT. Each and every one of them made an effort to get to know me throughout my stay, and they also shared insight about the PT field. Every single one of them are knowledgeable. Whether it was between patients, or typing up paperwork, they answered every question I asked, encouraged me, and challenged me to think on my own.I felt comfortable to be myself in front of all the staff. I never felt dumb asking a question or joking around. Matt greeted every person with a genuine smile and a firm handshake. He somehow remembered every conversation he had with every person he would treat and followed up appointment after appointment about what was happening in their lives. I could tell that they really appreciated it. He explained what he was doing and why he was doing it to the clients, so I really benefited from it! I followed Matt 99% of the time I was there, but all the other PTs were the same: they were always smiling. The only time I didn't see them with a smile was when they were in their desk working on paperwork..and it was because they were so focused on typing! Furthermore, LWPT not only focuses on their business, but the community as well. They are always taking part in local community events, charities, etc around Kirkland.Hard working, genuinely caring, and looking outward instead of inward is how I would describe LWPT. I am grateful that I had the chance to see how great being a PT can be from this wonderful place, and hope to model the PTs that work here when I become a PT! More...

I am so happy with Mandie Majerus and Lake Washington Physical Therapy! After a lifetime of being athletic, I was finding it increasingly difficult to walk, had a profound limp, and was falling frequently. With a new injury on one leg and a 20-year-old one on the other, I landed in Mandie's very capable hands. She started with the basics... checked my walking style and shoes... both wrong... and off we went! She was quick to commend me for a job well done, but let me know when I needed to make a correction. Mandie cheered my smallest victory and encouraged me through my struggles. She did her part well and taught me what I needed to do... it was real teamwork; with her sparkling personality, she made the hard work fun! She was not so "set in her ways" but was quick to encourage me to branch out on my own with inventive workouts (especially in the pool) letting me know what was most effective. The entire LWPT staff is helpful and friendly; the place is spotlessly clean, and I noticed frequent hand washing. I just "graduated" with no limp and steady balance... climbing stairs, jogging a bit, and amazed at my increased leg strength and range of movement. I grew to love Mandie and the team so much that it was hard to say goodbye. Fortunately, I don't have to, as they send out regular newsletters and invite their patients back for events, in which I definitely plan to participate!
