We came here for my birthday and it was truly a night to remember. I would say that this restaurant is a cross between a restaurant and a night club style lounge. There is defentily something very cool about this place. Every space is truly unique. The lighting adds to the sensuality of the place. The eclectic charm just draws you into every space and gives you different vibe. The lighting was dim and the music was definitely top 20 playing.I was so excited that I had my name on the table framed saying happy birthday made by the staff when I arrived. I do think they should give you an option between 2 sayings. Mine said "Happy F#@%ing Birthday Stacy!" Now I am not the biggest prude but I would not post that on my social media cause its just not my style. I think something like "Happy Freaking Birthday Stacy" would have been a better option or something of that sort. They should at least ask and give you the option. It just didn't feel tasteful. Everyone at my birthday party said the same thing. We just kept the sign out of pictures even though I wished I could have kept it if it was a little less profane. Not everyone likes profanity but other than that the idea itself of having a sign was very sweet and thoughtful.The food was delicious. I enjoyed the Pollo a La Brassa. It was made with 21 different spices and marinated up to 36 hours. It was delicious. I enjoyed the plantain side and the latin smoked corn. There was a Latin vibe throughout the dish that was tantalizing and adventurous that I loved. I also had the tuna tower. This dish was just packed with flavor and was so delicious. I did feel the flavors were a little too strong but it was still good. I loved how it had mesago, avocado, tuna , rice and other wonderful ingredients that just made it very colorful and pleasing to the eye and taste buds. Finally I tried the chimchuri steak. I found this to be mediocre. The steak was too chewy and the sauce didn't have the kick I hoped for. Still it was decent enough. I feel they should probably clean the bathrooms better. It was a mess when I went in. I also dislike how far you have to walk to get there. there were uneven floors throughout the restaurant that I felt was a tripping hazard with how dim the lights were. Im a nurse, so maybe I notice things like this more than others but it is a risk for falls. All in all I had a fantastic time here and enjoyed this restaurant. I would come again for sure. More...

Usually, La Brasa is excellent. However, their Thanksgiving buffet was fair at best. The variety was excellent, but the food was tepid. There were no serving utensils or plates at the desert table. My previous review was a bit critical due to how loud it was, but apparently that is only on Friday and Saturday. Just went here on a Thursday and had a quiet wonderful experience. The Tuna Tower is amazing. I order tuna dishes all the time and half the time I'm underwhelmed. Just last week I ordered at tuna tower at another restaurant and it wasn't even a tower. This Tuna Tower is definitely a tower and the presentation is great. It has just the right amount of ingredients; they are generous with the tuna/avocado with a little bit of rice to counterbalance. The sauce is impactful and delicious.The Lomo Saltado is extremely flavorful, even down to the individual ingredients. My date and I were marveling at how even the tomatoes by themselves were flavor-packed. I cook a lot and at restaurants, I'll often say "I can do that better." In this case, I said "yeah, I can't do that better." The filet they use is ridiculously tender. You can probably cut it with a fork. I didn't get a single piece of chewy meat.I think I'm going to become a regular here, but just going to avoid Friday and Saturday because super loud places are not my style. More...

We came to La Brasa with some friends who recommended it. Let me just start by saying that my only comparison is to Pio Pio in NYC, so that's a lot to live up to. The atmosphere was lovely. I liked the dim interior, the unique decor and lighting, and the service. I thought it was really cool that after a certain time, the floor is cleared for dancing & a club like environment. Very versatile. The 4 stars is for the fact that the food was eh. It was good, but nothing exceptional. The rice was slightly under cooked for our paella and the whole dish could have used a little more kick. We ordered the Pollo a la Brasa (not pictured) because you can't come to a Peruvian place and not try their chicken. It was soft, cooked well, and flavorful. We should have just stuck to the chicken and not even gotten the paella to be honest. The chicken came with a green sauce that was amazing!! Went here to celebrate my birthday! Ordered the two appetizers to start, personally the tuna tower was my fav it was just absolutely amazing and fresh. Queso is always a good option as well! Ordered the paella to split between my boyfriend and I. It was so yummy and so much food we still had extra. And then my friend got the shrimp tamales. Super interesting place, some might call it eclectic. The decorations are.. something to look at! The staff are excellent and the bar has good variety, the menu is awesome with a little group deal you can put together, and their steak is killer, definitely try that out! We will definitely be back!
