Kulture Kurry is by far my favorite restaurant in the whole Kansas City metro area - not even just my favorite Indian restaurant, it is my FAVORITE restaurant. The Dal Makhani is my favorite dish, and my fiance loves the Kulture Korma. The service is always prompt and friendly as well - bringing you refills and utensils before you even realize you need them. I have frequented Kulture Kurry in the past, with mixed reviews. But they have a new chef now and I decided to try it again. ..And boy was I pleasantly surprised!!I was brave and tried a little bit of everything except for the extremely spicy stuff and I loved ALL of it!!!I was pleasantly surprised because I really didn't think that I cared for Indian food after my last experience!!Now I crave some of the food that I ate that day!!!I am definitely a fan now!! The chef here is amazing. Some of the best butter chicken I have tasted in Overland Park. Highly reccomended is the Chili Chicken. The first time I had from Kulture Kurry, I ordered a biryani with high spice level. The cut green chillies were mixed with the biryani which is not how it’s usually done. To add to it, the chillies were little raw. The owner apologized and when I visited the place a month later for a buffet next time, it was good enough experience. But they have a table of creative, daring, innovative creations that will make you take a minute to think. Does this work? Yes. Sometimes Maybe. I order from here every time they come up on the Foodsby menu. I normally order the lunch box with Chicken Vindaloo and Dal Tadka. The flavor of the food is excellent and it always tastes fresh. We just got back from Mumbai a week ago but coming to Kulture Kurry made it feels like we never left. Food was delicious. Sauces were complex and depth of flavor was impressive . They have the best goat curry. The buffet is ok to get a taste of different dishes, it's not bad for the price. Overall it's a good quiet atmosphere if you're looking for a date night with Indian cuisine.
