What makes a great website?
First, it needs to be readable and useable. If a site visitor can't find the information they need, or finds the site confusing, this will negatively impact their perception of the organization the website represents.
Secondly, it should align with the brand of the organization it represents. This means colors, typefaces, imagery (the whole package) makes sense with what the organization is trying to convey to its target audience.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
- What is your vision for the project?
- Do you have any existing branding you want to incorporate into the project?
- Is there any particular imagery you'd like included in the project?
- What is your business/organization trying to accomplish with this project?
- What is your business/organization trying to accomplish overall?
- What 3 words would you use to describe your business?
Describe your creative process.
1. We'll have a meeting to talk about your goals, vision, and needs.
2. I'll brainstorm concepts and create sketches of different concepts and compositions. I'll then send these ideas back to you to see if any particular design resonates with your vision. If you aren't sure what you want, I'll give you guidance based on your industry/target market.
3. I'll create a digital first draft of the design. Once this is finished, I'll send the design back to you to see if there are any changes you'd like made.
4. Finally, I'll send a final draft for your "okay." If everything looks good, I send you final assets (this could vary depending on the project, but usually includes high-quality digital files formatted for both web and print).

I LOVE translating the heart and vision behind a business into high-quality graphic design work. I love learning about the business owners and businesses, then creating work that aligns with their needs and goals.
