I was looking for a what I thought would be something usual for a baby shower, a three dimensional teddy bear cake. Kristen's made my husband's 30th birthday cake. It was a 2 tier ghostbusters themed cake and let me tell you, it was AMAZING! With only 1 weeks notice, they not only made me a beautiful cake, but they made it at a very reasonable price. The cake itself was moist and delicious. I went for the Dolce Mia Cheesecakes, but also got myself a heavenly Pink Champagne Cupcake and some of the cake bites. Cupcake was incredible and there is so much flavor in those little cake balls!! I will be back for more!

Kirsten's Cakery did an AMAZING job of baking a completely dairy free cake for my father in laws 80th birthday party! Kristen made our wedding cake back in September and from what everyone tells me, they loved it just as much as we did! She was very reasonably priced and my husband and I both were able to get the flavors we liked by being able to pick a different flavor/filling for each tier so since we had a 4 tier cake, we of course picked 4 different flavors! Oh My Goodnesss...Kirsten made cupcakes for my daughter's baby shower and I could NOT keep them on the table. They were ALL moist and delicious. ..total goodnesss!! I would recommend her hands down if you need to make a statement and need to impress your guess.
Kristen was kind and very patient with me because I really didn't know exactly "what" flavor(s) I wanted. By the time she was done I paid less than the original quote she gave over the phone. USE this business...OBTW Total Goodness should be the name of her business...lol More...

I ordered a lego themed birthday cake for my sons 6th bday. The day of the party i realized i may have ordered it to be ready the wrong day. I called, and i did tell them the wrong date.
So, i told them i need the cake for a day earlier(that day. 6 hours later) the cake looked fantastic.
It was chocolate chip with strawberry filling. It was delicious. And almost gone. Everyone loved it. It was the most ive ever paid for a cake before.
Everyone i had contact with over the phone amd everything was great.

Our cake was awesome! My husband was in charge of the ordering and I was so delighted with what I picked up! Vanilla chocolate chip with chocolate fudge inside. Not to mention that the decorations were spot on. The cake was amazing, everyone wanted to know where it came from. Kirsten' s of course! Kirsten's cakes are delicious! We had fun picking from all of the choices, they were all so good it made it extremely difficult. Our guests loved our cake, and it looked beautiful too. She did a great job! I chose Kirsten's Cakery because she makes them so close to the date you need it, and for our one year anniversary we will receive a fresh "top-tier" of our wedding cake, instead of having to freeze our cake for a year. Kirsten did an amazing job with our wedding cake! We went to a couple places for cake testing and she had the best method. She brought us out a plate with samples of all of her different types of filling then allowed us to pick cupcakes from her display to try the cake flavors. Her raspberry filling was to die for and my personal favorite was the cinnamon cake with apple cinnamon filling (unique and delicious!). She did a great job coming up with a design based off of what we described and showed her. She also offered sheet cakes to help save some money. Kirsten's was amazing from start to finish! I am allergic to dairy, and she was able to make a completely dairy free cake that was under budget! Our guests questioned how I was able to eat the cake, assuming it had dairy. When I told them it was dairy free, they were in shock! It was so delicious! I didn't sit much at my wedding, but I made sure to take a break from dancing and have a large piece of the delicious cake. We had a great time working with Kirsten's Cakery. First, the cake was delicious (multiple guests told us how much they liked it). Additionally, we had a clear idea of how we wanted the cake to look (a simple white cake with flowers placed by our florist) and Kirsten did a great job bringing that vision to life. Finally, Kirsten suggested we have a smaller cake to display at the reception and then a sheet cake to feed the rest of the guests in order to save money. I was absolutely impressed. I went to a different bakery last year. For the same price, this cake blows it out of the water. My daughter is going to love it and I found the detail was incredible.Looks like some people experienced bad customer service. That was not the case with me. I found the employee very friendly and helpful on a recent Sunday when she answered my many questions about ordering a cake for a 50th wedding anniversary party.  Many cake flavors, fillings, frostings to choose from.The vanilla/chocolate chip cake I decided on was moist and delicious.  Her recommendation for the fudge filling was superb.  (My favorite part of the cake!) The buttercream frosting was sweet, but not in the "hurt your teeth" way.  The colors I requested for the flowers matched the bridesmaid dresses (from 50 years ago) beautifully.  I also paid a nominal fee to have the buttercream tinted to be an antique, off white ivory instead of white.  Again, I'd recommend paying this small fee if that's a look you're interested in; it turned out beautifully.Cake was packed well and made it to Pennsylvania 2 days prior in my minivan with no slippage.  The guests enjoyed the look and taste immensely.  Thank you!  The ordering was painless and fun! Kirsten was great to work with. We went in to do our tasting back in April and immediately knew she was the right person to use. She even personally delivered the cake way out in Rock Hall on the eastern shore!

The best part is that we didn't have to micro-manage Kirsten or her team. She was on-point and did everything above and beyond what was expected. She even called to confirm the guest count to see if we needed a larger or smaller cake the week before.

When it came to the cake, it was delicious, not dry or overdone, in fact there was nothing left at the end of the night and we are just jealous that we have to wait till our one year anniversary to get more.

I had my first experience with Kirsten's Cakery at a wedding expo in Baltimore. I tried a lot of cake samples that day, but theirs was by far the most moist and flavorful!

We were a little less traditional with our wedding cake. We wanted a two-tier cake for us to be able to cut at the reception and save the top layer, and we wanted a groom's cake and cupcakes. This was no problem for the bakers at Kirsten's. When we went in for a consultation, we tried all sorts of cakes and fillings and were given a quote right away. The prices were very reasonable, and the cake was delicious. We ended up choosing a lemon cake with raspberry filling for the bride's cake and vanilla cake with fudge filling for the groom. We also got an assortment of cupcakes. I provided an inspiration picture for the bride's cake and described what we wanted for the groom's cake (a stack of books).

When I saw the cake at the reception, I was blown away. The bride's cake looked even better than the reference picture, and the groom's cake actually looked like a stack of books! A lot of guests commented that they didn't even know it was a cake! The top "book" was the Lord of the Rings and they even painted the One Ring on the cover!

The cakes were delicious, and even the fondant, which I normally do not like, was soft, thin, and tasty! (Kirsten's Cakery offered both butter-cream and fondant, but I wanted the look of fondant for the specialty cakes. We had butter-cream on the cupcakes.) More...

Kirsten's Cakery has been fantastic so far at providing a cake for my upcoming wedding. I obviously haven't receiving my cake as it is not till August but I wanted to write a review about the cake tasting. My fiancé and I battled heavy Annapolis traffic trying to get the Kirsten's by 5:00 for our tasting. We called at 4:53 to tell them we could be late. On the phone they were extremely clear that it could not start any later than 5:15. My fiancé and I decided to tempt fate. Luckily we arrived at 5:13!  Kirsten started us out with a plate of the fillings and took the cakes right out of her display case for us to try!  She was so helpful in suggesting things that paired nicely and our options for sizes/tiers.  After we settled on a size we were able to discuss the decorations and she drew up a contract.  Kristen as so accommodating and helpful!  Our tasting did last until 5:57 so I completely understand why they make their rule about tastings not starting after 5:15. Had I not been able to make it to Kirsten's on time I would have much rather rescheduled than have less of her attention. Her professionalize and knowledge of her timing is why she knows her hard and fast rules for scheduling.  If you are coming from the south for a tasting.. Please account for the traffic as it can double or triple the time it takes. But Kirsten's is so worth having to reschedule in order to enjoy her professionalize and DELICIOUS cakes!  Can't wait to write another review once we get or final product. I have no doubts! More...

I ordered a cake for my son's 19th birthday...I did not really know what I wanted it to look like. I emailed some pictures of a cake with fondant icing with dots and stars to Kirsten. I spoke on the phone and explained what colors I wanted. When I went to pick up the cake, it looked exactly like I had wanted it to!! It was perfect and my son loved it! The best part was that it tasted amazing as well!! It was a marble cake and it was so moist and tasty! This was the best cake experience I have ever had and the price was very reasonable.
