I came into Kilroys for lunch and they had the Cajun seafood over pasta, and let me TELL YOU. The shrimp was fresh, the crab meat excellent, the sauce fantastic, and the service was next level attentive. $8.99 for a massive plate of deliciousness and garlic bread. Pepper Thomas and Cristina Stewart were tending bar and taking food orders and they will make your lunch break feel like a VIP experience. Love this place! More...

Ate here today for lunch with a party of eight plus four young kids. The food was great! Both Cajun and Hawaiian prime ribs were ordered. It was so tender with a nice crust. My Mozzarella & Mushroom burger was cooked well, too. The kid's chicken tenders was excellently seasoned. I loved the fries which kept their crispiness. I have a general weakness for sports bars. I can't put my finger on it. The atmosphere, the smell, the random meeting of people you don't know, the comfort food, the overabundance of guys that want to buy you drinks. Who knows. But I like it, at least at this carefree stage of my life. This particular place has a bit of an older crowd no problem with that but I've only been once and quite a few old timers struck up conversation with me. Different nights probably have different crowds. The food was good I had the hot wings and a burger. Moo on me i don't usually eat that much but hung out for a long time so it was spread out. The beer on tap was really good but i don't recall what I had, just went with the bartenders rec. I got the impression that there were a lot of regular customers here as many seemed to know each other.  I'll be going again. Kilroy's is a favorite. It's been located in the Ravensworth shopping center forever. (At lest to the era in which faux Tiffany lamps were a popular decor item! ) I nearly always have mussels here. The best mussels in the Northern Virginia suburbs, I would assert. I usually have the Cajun mussels but also will order the Bleu Cheese mussels.I was worried recently when Kilroy's menu changed and mussels were moved from entrees to appetizers. Luckily, I can still order them as my meal and also put a side Dinner Salad with them. My wife very much likes the Steamed Shrimp dinner and that is her usual order. I did try the flatbread pizza once, but am sticking with the mussels. Ask your server for biscuits.  They come out warm and soft.Kilroy's follows it name in the theming of the restaurant. Posters from World War I and World War II line the walls. They are museum quality, and from what I can tell, are authentic, not reproductions.Kilroy's is popular, especially on weekend evenings.
