I had a clear cut case. Injured in a car accident that was not my fault. Settlement took six months. I received nothing for lost wages , Pain and suffering, etc. communication was horrible and almost nonexistent. Through the whole ordeal I lost my 50k car, sustained serious back injuries and a 25k settlement out of which I walked home with $4.600. I was rear-ended in a car accident on 8/24/18, and my case was settled on 1/30/20. I was first pissed at this law firm and now I can honestly say: they are the best! My attorney William Hammill taught me many great character qualities which I consider virtues: kindness, patience, and wisdom. Let me tell you everything from start to finish. WHY I WAS PISSED AT THIS LAWFIRM 1. When I was rear-ended, I began stuttering, which freaked the heck out of me. I had a concussion and I lost my intellectual sharpness, basically, I was unable to even continue a sentence after starting one. Also, I was physically hurt. I was unable to work for 4 weeks. My life was a mess, and I hated it. My expectation was for my attorney to fix everything in a week. Well.... it's not how this works. So, I was angry and called my lawyer every day to follow up on every aspect of my case expecting it all to be resolved ASAP. It was stupid. The truth is this: my recovery, my medical bills reviews, the legal process, the insurance back and forth - all this took time. And when I say "time" what I mean is MORE THAN A WEEK. I swear you're reading this hoping everything in your case to be resolved tomorrow. No, my dear, car accidents take months and years to resolve, so my advice: be realistic and patient. 2. When my life really sucked and I hoped my lawyer and his team would fix everything, I blew up their phone and email every day. It was stupid. These people work their butt off from before the sunrise well into the night (YES, I witnessed them stay late, respond to emails while their kids have surgeries, and on and on I can testify to their work ethic!) and they actually go to court, they have many clients, not just me. So, what I've learned was that I needed to stop being a child in my unrealistic demands for this team's daily attention, and I just needed to patiently wait and give my case some time to go through the normal legal process. So, if you’re pissed at them not calling you every day, don’t be: have patience and understanding. 3. When my neighbor got me from the hospital after the accident, she called Ken Nugent, and they came immediately to my home to interview me. I expected this whole thing to be over quickly. It’s because I was ignorant: I had no understanding of the actual legal process, the insurance review procedures, etc. I’ve learned to trust my lawyer William Hammill and I feel deep regret for acting so stupid out of pure ignorance. If you’re expecting your case to be over ASAP, talk to the lawyer about the ACTUAL process. Then, you’ll have understanding instead of ignorance. WHY I LOVED WORKING WITH THIS LAWFIRM 1. They handled my case very competently and professionally, and they settled it well. I believe that at all times they had my best interest at heart and did their absolute best. 2. They handled me very kindly and patiently. If I had a client like me, all pissed off and hot-headed, blowing up phones and emails, and having unrealistic expectations, I’d cuss the heck out of that person and fire them as my client. But William Hammill spent forever on the phone answering my questions and educating me. He met with me personally and DREW the illustration of the process. Yes, I said he drew it by hand, really! WHY I RECOMMEND THE KEN NUGENT TEAM 1. Professionalism 2. Patience 3. Competence 4. Kindness MY GRATITUDE NOTE TO THE TEAM Thank you, William, Julie, and everyone on the Ken Nugent Dream Team! I am only leaving 1 star because it makes me. I am injured for life from an accident where I was not at fault. This law firm sent me to their recommendations for treatment but stretched it out on the pretense &#34; I must finish my treatment&#34;. Then, at near the 2 year statue of limitations..my lawyer and I meet for him to tel ask me &#34; how are we suppose to prove the injuries were from this accident?&#34; Well, asshat 1) that&#39;s your job 2) medical documentation 3) I was not injured before. I had to let him go but no one else would touch my case on such sjort notice and after that. (Apparently a new lawyer has to split the take home pay with the prior) And I learned the firm was being sued for fraud and racketeering among other charges.Consequently I am injured for life and dealing alone. I received no compensation. I am beginning to wonder if they are being paid off by insurance companies to disrupt the cases so the insurance doesn&#39;t have to pay out at all.
