As far as "commercialized" BBQ joints go, Kelvin & Co is good. I got the combo with pork, chicken and brisket. Was hoping to try the ribs, but you cannot get them in the combo, just half or full rack. Price was okay, a dollar or two higher than what I'm used to seeing the half and full racks going for in this area.Pulled pork and chicken was tasty with some sort of spices added after shredding. Decent smoke flavor. Not to dry, but not moist and greasy.Brisket was okay. A little on the dry side, but decent. Pretty neutral in spices- salt and pepper, maybe garlic, if I had to guess. Just a tad dry. Obviously not fresh out of the smoker, but good.Kansas City sauce was good, just not as tangy as what I'm used to. The signature sauce was what I'm used to Kansas City sauce tasting like. Very good. The Texas sauce was pretty peppery with an ancho taste to it.For sides, I tried the mac and cheese and jalapeno mac and cheese. Also tried the baked beans. Standard fare mac and cheese, and the jalapeno version possessed pretty good heat.The combo also came with a soft drink and a couple pickle slices. The pickle slices were VERY tart! At first I thought I was overreacting, as you do when you're not expecting tartness. Then it kept coming and coming, my right eye squeezed right shut! Wow, I've never had such a tart pickle!Quite a bit of food for 15 bucks and worth it in my opinion. I've had better BBQ, but as far as commercialized joints, this was pretty decent. I always order the large pulled pork sandwich and WOOOWWW! Where do I start?!First of all, the pulled pork ALONE has so much yummy flavor that you could literally eat it by itself. But once you combine the signature sauce, sweet bread buns, pickles and cheese, your tastebuds explode with pleasure. Every bite is an experience on its own. I feel like it should be illegal for food to be this satisfying and comforting. I’m left hypnotized by the time that Im done eating. FINGER LICKING GOOD!!!HUBBY AND I ARE EAT OUT CONOSOIRS. first time trying kelvins and were hooked it's all about the sauces! ! Each meat has it's own flavor which is great because it's not over seasoned BUT each bbq sauce brings out different tastes for each meat. Wonderful experience with customer service!!!
