Karen has been very helpful with an extensive complete remodel of our home. From doing up the drawings, to working with the city on permits and all the design details of the job, she has been extremely professional, helpful and creative. She is very good and narrowing down choices, as it is all overwhelming to me, and brings it down to something manageable that I can make choices from. She has been very accessible and willing to meet when needed to get choices completed. When we needed to cut back on budget, she helped make different choices to cut costs. We needed a designer who could help us plan a home remodel. Karen listened to us and came up with a plan of attack right away. She was able to take our vague thoughts and ideas and turn them into a cohesive design plan. She worked with us to find materials and colors, helping us narrow choices down from an overwhelming assortment to the final selections. She worked directly with the construction company to develop building plans, and was on site at each major point during construction, measuring and working with the contractors as needed to be sure fixtures, outlets, switches and appliances were in exactly the right places. The final result was exactly what she planned, and far exceeded our dreams and expectations. We love our new space, and we would not be able to make that claim had it not been for Karen's amazing efforts. More...

Karen's first endearing quality was that she listened. She asked us what we wanted our home to be like and how we wanted to feel in our home. She listened to our budget. She started with a home consultation, where we talked about pulling things together and redecorating our living room, front room, kid's bedroom and kitchen. Her ability and eye to see how to rearrange and integrate the things you have, help you keep what you think-- is special. Karen changed our house into a home, where it feels like a warm place. Our friends compliment us and have told us that the designer was perfect at making our place nicer while keeping it about our vision, too. I might add that Karen respects financial limits and really knows how to stretch your budget for maximum impact. ALSO- we love her! She's a delight to work with, and we will be hiring her to help us re-do our guest room and bonus room. I trust her vision. More...

Karen helped us in the design of our remodel of a 25 year old house that had a lot of dated, worn out parts. We met with her several times, both at our home and at a building supply store.
She was very good at listening to what we were trying to accomplish and paying attention to our budget. She made several suggestions that really helped us out. She talked to us about the pros and cons of new cabinets vs. painting the existing cabinets and we decided to go with painting which saved a lot of money. She also showed us options for kitchen counters that were significantly cheaper than granite and look great. She provided a lot of advice on color selections; she would give us several choices, all of which would work well, and then we'd pick our favorite from among options.
Karen was flexible in providing what we wanted. She was happy to meet more or less often, give general pointers or actually do the choosing, really whatever we wanted. She's easy to work with.
The remodel turned out very well and my wife and I are both very happy with the results. Karen's advice and guidance were a big help.

Karen provided interior design services for remodeling the first floor of our house, including kitchen, kitchen cabinets and back-splash, family room, downstairs bathroom, dining room, living room and family room with built in book shelves.
She drew up professional drawings for back-splash and pantry cabinets. Also installation of hardwood floors throughout.
Karen did a terrific job designing, choosing materials and colors, recommending contractors and guiding us through every phase of the job. We could not have done this project without her. She is creative, a great designer and a good listener. She focuses very quickly on our tastes and desires and then helps bring them to fruition. This was very much a collaborative relationship. We highly recommend Karen.

Karen Linder is an amazing designer! We started working with her in 2013 after purchasing our first house and just completed our remodel in 2015. Our house was built in 1983 and never had been remodeled. Karen helped us design every room in our house. She has a great eye and also listens to her clients' needs. Karen is great at getting a sense of your personal design preferences and is a good resource for a home remodel. She advised us to use an excellent contractor (Larry Mock from Cascade Custom Remodel) and now we have an amazing kitchen, master bath, and laundry thanks to both Karen and Larry! Karen is also very realistic in terms of designing your home to match your lifestyle and budget. (We have two young children and she totally understands that spending thousands of dollars on a rug only to get Koolaid spilled on it doesn't make sense.) Karen really saved us a lot of time and headache with our remodel. I would not hesitate to work with her again! More...

Karen Linder is an experienced designer with an eye for detail, style and color. She immediately can get the ‘feel’ of a space and can turn a ho-hum room into an inviting and warm place to relax and enjoy. She has innovative ideas that are timely and distinctive. She listens to her clients’ ideas and desires to arrive at an end result that looks and feels fantastic! Not only is she an expert in color and how it can effect the mood and tone of the entire area. I hired Karen Linder Designs to help me improve the impact and aesthetics of my photographic studio. This wasn’t an easy task, since two of us share the studio and we have different tastes and budgets. She provided not just color consultations, but literally moved furniture in ways that remain in place today. Karen also provides counsel on what to add to a room to make it feel more comfortable to a clientele with diverse tastes – not an easy job. Since she helped me with my studio, I’ve had the opportunity to see and be impressed by 2 of Karen’s other projects where she had really proud clients. I’ve hired Karen Linder several times for several different projects around the home. I have a distinctive style and I love that Karen goes with my taste and doesn’t try to change who I am. I used her in my last home from beginning to end and I loved the way my house looked. She picked the colors and helped me with furniture choices and helped me with arranging the furniture around the room. Karen has a good eye, great taste and understands how to make the room more inviting. I love the way she uses my “old” stuff to make the room cozy and fun. Now, I’m in a new house and we are starting over. I want to change it up and it’s just been a blast working with Karen. She’s helped with the color choices and helped with my kitchen by giving a new twist on French country and has given me inspiration for furniture and lighting. Karen Linder transformed my home from boring to beautiful! She has the taste and creative talent that I lacked in choosing colors, styles and bringing them all together in a look that reflects not her personality but mine. I moved in to a new house a few months ago. I loved the floor plan but the colors were just not me. In a short color consultation Karen got me started. The colors she suggested were perfect! They really lightened up the room. That was only the beginning. The more I did, the more I wanted to do. Karen was willing to work with me one room at a time as my budget permitted. Karen Linder picked some beautiful, soothing colors for our family room and office. She picked color combinations I would not have thought of, which tie in with our existing furnishings and then suggested we paint some of our wooden furniture to tie in as well. It looks fantastic! She also selected the colors of the exterior of our home. It was a dramatic color change from pale yellow to deep red and we absolutely love it. She picked some great accent colors for the trim, doors and shutters. We highly recommend Karen Linder for anyone lookihg for expert color consultation. More...
