This salon and the people who work there are terrific. The owner takes pride in her business and her staff and it shows. On my first visit I was with a relatively new stylist, and while having the color washed out of my hair, the owner, Samantha, noticed the stylist had missed a spot of color on the side of my face and came over and wiped it off herself. I knew from that instance that this was the salon for me. I've had blonde hair (dyed) my whole life and this is the happiest I've been with it. If you're looking for a salon-- this is no doubt the cream of the crop. They aren't pretentious and judgmental like some other "trendy" salons and the service is far and above the rest. As for the cancellation policy, pretty much every new trendy salon is doing it to protect their stylists' time and earnings and if you have a legit reason you need to cancel and take the time to call and tell them that and reschedule, they are pretty accommodating. My friend referred me to this salon. Londyn did an amazing job. I've honestly never been so happy leaving the salon before. She fixed my over balayaged hair and gave me dimension. I am new to this salon (only my second visit) and I love everything about it. Everyone has been so friendly, helpful and welcoming. From the front desk to the stylists themselves! And not to mention the salon itself is just GORGEOUS. A perfect place for a little pampering! I went in with a Pinterest vision (yes, I am one of those with hundreds of pictures and ideas) and left with exactly what I imagined and hoped for! Londyn was awesome! This salon is so cute! The location is easy to get to and my appointments have always been on time and accurate. Cassi used to do my hair when she worked in State College and I was thrilled to see she moved to a salon near Pittsburgh! She always takes the time in the beginning of the appointment to talk about what you want. Â My hair can be hard to hold color and I've always been so happy with my results when Cassi's done my hair because of her experience. I loooove coming to Julia James! First off, the salon is gorgeous! All the people that work there are so friendly and I always feel welcome coming in. Haven't been to a salon and gotten my hair professionally cut for about 5 years. I decided last week I wanted to get bangs and I yelped salons and this one was one of the first ones I saw. LOVE this salon!! Everyone was very nice that I came in contact with while I was there. Their space is adorable. But, now for the reason I went in the first place, a haircut. I hadn't had a haircut in a year. I was nervous after having a hair tragedy a year earlier and had been putting it off. I am 50 years old and hands down this is the best haircut I have ever had!! I came in for the first time last week, and Emily was my stylist. She is new to Julia James Salon, but she has years of experience and it shows! She helped to find a color that works well for me and gave me tips on styling and upkeep to protect the color and keep healthy hair. She also gave me great recommendations on a shampoo and conditioner to meet my specific hair needs. I went out and bought that combination and it has truly worked wonders for my hair in just a few days! I am very happy with my experience and intend to return as a regular customer.
