I mean come on! Did you read the name? But seriously this place has some good stuff. I really come for the pizza and meat rolls. Pizza sauce is just amazing! Idk how they make it, they've got like 4 diff little pizza you can pick. The rolls are great for snacking. Fresh bread, pepperoni, cheese all melted in baked bread, mmm. Also ham n Swiss is good. My husband and I just moved in down the street, and were very excited to try Josef's. The parking is a bit inconvenient, because they only have street metered parking, but we're close enough to walk so it's not a problem. The chocolate croissants, black and white cookie, and cannolis are very good. All of it was very fresh and tasty. The staff were very willing and eager to help, since it was our first time. Our cake was absolutely AMAZING! Josef's holds a special place since my family has gotten a cake from them for every occasion so it was only fitting that we would get our wedding cake from there too. Also, my parent's wedding cake came from Josef's so it was special for me to get it from their too. My husband and I absolutely love dessert and cake, so it was super important that our wedding cake was unique, special, and tasty. We are the ones who always eat cake at a wedding - no matter what! We both love Carrot Cake, and since you do not typically see this at weddings we knew this is what we wanted for our wedding cake. Anthony, the baker, was awesome to work with. Made us a few sample cakes which was very nice, and even made a great suggestion on frosting (middle and outer layer) that we would have never thought of but we absolutely loved. Take a number upon arrival. Prepare to spend some $ here; and use cash or debit to not add to your bill. Some items are better than others, as most places. Any cake with chocolate mousse is fantastic. Tiramisu, not so much. While pretty, I haven't loved any of their individual desserts. If a special occasion brings you in, to look at the cakes with their beautiful shaved chocolate decorations or perfectly set fruit tarts you may think they cannot be personalized but they will prepare a message in icing on a plaque of chocolate if you ask. They have some lunch fare like quiche and coffee at the far end of the counter as well as a few small tables if you wish to consume your purchase on location. There's outdoor seating in season. My favorite items are right when you walk in. Top shelf are the pastry rings. While poppyseed & fruit are delicious, nothing beats their almond ring. Great thing to bring anywhere instead of donuts. For foodies you get about six servings. If you're dainty, there's definitely enough for an office of 10 to get a taste. If it's only something for one, they have almond croissants with marzipan that get me Mmm'ing with every bite. They have pain au chocolat. Their almond croissants WITH a chocolate strip are wonderful! They bake custom cakes made into the most interesting shapes such as a designer purse. I recently tried their cheesecake and while the crust is good, it's the actual cheesecake part that is the best I've ever had. I don't care for any of their cookies thus far. I've been meaning to try their bread but my pocketbook gets emptied on all of the above before I get to it. They're on a corner so street parking is usually not a problem. More...

Went here the Saturday before Easter and only waited in line about 20 minutes. They move everybody right along, and provided sample treats and coffee while we waited. Very nice! The pastries are good, but not perfect. Not if you are a home cooked, who uses real butter and fresh ingredients all the time. The best orange chiffon cake I've ever tasted in my life. I love flavors like lemon and orange and Josef'sBakery did not disappoint. So light and moist. The frosting was so delicious not sure but it must be a secret ingredient that I kept wanting more. My next occasion I will definitely go back to this fabulous bakery. Obsessed with their chocolate croissants (I pop it in the microwave the next day and the butter and chocolate make me salivate lol). I live 45 min away from here but whenever I'm in the area for work I treat myself. It can get very busy, but for the quality of baked goods I cant believe how low the prices are, especially compared to bakeries I've been to whose baked goods taste pasty and bland...like meijer...and super expensive.
