What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Honestly, I think it comes down to trust. If you don't trust the person taking a photograph, it will show.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I offer a variety of different sessions, so mainly I think it comes down to them liking MY work when booking me. I appreciate other photographers' art, but my work will always look like mine, even if I'm inspired by something else, so I think that's super important!
What do you love most about your job?
Capturing photos that will be important to my clients for the rest of their lives. I love getting to share these intimate and special moments with them.
Newborn Photos
Newborn photos are best taken within the first three weeks, but I will always consider working with older babies. I specialize in posed studio newborn photography, not in-home lifestyle. I happily will incorporate some family, sibling, parent or pet shots into the session, but main focus is baby. All props, clothing and accessories are provided by the studio, unless the parents have a specific request.
Maternity Photos
Maternity photos are taken in studio, and best done between 31 and 36 weeks gestation. My extensive client wardrobe is at the disposal of all of my clients, and can be viewed on my website.
Senior Portraits
I love working with seniors, and have packages available from minimalist headshots to multiple locations and wardrobe changes.
Dancer Portraits
A timeless statement piece of your dancer that you want to display in your home forever. You're proud of their grace and hard work, but the stark images from studio picture day don't show their true spirit.
Pet Photos
With over 15 years experience working with dogs and cats, I know that being ready to catch the moment is imperative, and that every animal can be unpredictable in a new environment. I have the patience and timing to capture a magical moment you can treasure forever.
