I'm usually a pretty shy person but working with Jolene for the first time I was quite comfortable. I shot a private boudoir shoot for Valentines that was on short notice and she was quite flexable with the scheduling and booked me right away. She's friendly and accomodating and is very talented in doing portrait shoots using just natural lighting. Jolene is fantastic!!! She has a great passion for photography and creates very good product. I always enjoy working with her because you can tell it's more than just a job for her. She really puts her heart into her craft, so the photos we get back from her never disappoint. If there is something specific you want, a pose or an angle, she'll work with you and make it look good, but she also has a good natural instinct, so if you don't have a particular vision in mind just let her go at it and she'll make some magic happen. Jolene is a wonderful photographer. When my husband and I were getting married on the island she set up our engagement shoot and I can not adequately say just how awesome she is to work with.
She suggested a photo shoot that perfectly matched our style, we were looking for something fun and different than the standard "cute" photo shoot. Jolene proposed a Zombie Attack Engagement Picnic and I have never had as much fun getting my picture taken than I did that day.
Jolene is extremely professional and always kept our wants in mind when suggesting poses and emotions to be shown during the shoot.

I'm very picky when it comes to pictures. And the kind of shots I want are difficult to get if you don't have the right kind of experience. Jolene was able to get some great shots of my husband and I performing in the circus. Which is no easy task with us constantly moving, having to work around the audience, and with the difficult lighting. Somehow she managed to capture beautiful moments in our performances that we can use to promote our work, share with our children and cherish for years to come. Jolene is an amazing person and a top notch photographer! My Acrobatic partner and I hired her to do promo shots...they turned out AMAZING. Her personality and je ne sais quoi made our photoshoot a wonderful experience. We had so much fun, we had to ask ourselves if we were doing a photoshoot or having fun with a close friend. I would recommend her on personality alone!

Now for the reason you are here...the photos. We were going to use them as promo material for our website/advertising, but they turned out so great that we had them printed on huge murals. The centerpiece of our home is now her work!

I hired Jolene to take my wedding photos at Waialae Beach, and I'm so glad I did!  She was quick to respond to my emails and checked in with me a few days beforehand.  She arrived early and braved the wind (so much hair in the face), rain and short attention spans of my two dogs!She is amazing; I was so impressed with her suggestions, from where to hold the ceremony, to the poses (and being that I am not very adept to having my picture taken, she even showed me where to put my hands, etc.) and she is so patient and kind, so it felt like a friend was behind the camera; very comfortable and relaxed.  She was always open to special requests and made sure to ask us and our guests.Her turnaround time is so quick, I couldn't believe I was looking at all my photos the NEXT DAY!  She made our day feel so special and has an eye for picture-perfect photos.  I am so happy that I went with her! Jolene did such a great job on our wedding photos! Islander Weddings was our wedding planner for our destination wedding and Jolene was booked through them. I was a little nervous about not picking the photographer myself, but I had nothing to worry about!
