The 40 over 40 Experience with Jo Ellen Verna Portrait, If I've learned nothing in life over the years, the past four years I've learned to step outside of my comfort zone and do things I would never have dreamed I would ever do, whether it be a new job experience, a new life or a new me! This past weekend I took another leap of faith outside my comfort zone to open myself up to be photographed by a professional photographer. It was a wonderful, fun, and exciting experience. I encourage everyone to do this for themselves it can change how you feel about yourself! My experience with Jo Ellen Verna was wonderful, she took away all of my inhibitions the moment I met her and was greeted with a warm hug. PORTRAIT SESSION
As women, more often than not we place the needs, desired and demands of others before our own. We are pulled in many directions and don’t always take time to nurture ourselves in ways that make us feel seen, heard and valued. We question our beauty, our desirability, our voice, and our value. We feel lost and unworthy of such “luxuries” as even an hour alone.
Through the intimate experience of portrait photography, transformation and healing occurs as you open up your heart to yourself and as you step bravely into the women you are and shine your light. It is my job to make you look and feel your absolute best so that you can see yourself in photographs the way those who love you do.
HEADSHOTS AND BRANDING
You never get a second chance to make a first impression! By today’s standards, most first impressions are made online as people seek out individuals and companies that they want to do business with. You need a photo that ensures that you stand out, and that your portrait represents your personality, success and approachability.
I know it is not always comfortable to pose in front of a camera and I also know that the “average” headshot experience can be very frustrating when you are positioned in front of a camera and told to “smile”. That is awkward, and I understand that.
I’ll make the entire process, from start to finish as easy as possible and deliver images that you feel represent you at your best.
We’ll start the process with a phone consultation where we can discuss how you want to be photographed and what uses you have for updating your headshot. You will receive guidance on wardrobe, styling and the small steps you can take prior to shoot date so that you feel prepared and confident.
I will guide you through your poses and sets that make you look your absolute best and you will be able to view and select your portraits immediately after the shoot!

Are you a company looking to upgrade everyone's headshot at the same time? In-office headshot days are not only painless, but we make it fun and engaging. We ensure each photograph has a cohesive vibe, yet also showcases each team member’s unique personality and style.
BOUDOIR
Boudoir is not just about the boudoir photos, it's about transformation, celebration and realization. Through the intimate nature of a boudoir session, we capture your essence; the joy, the coy, the longing... and we have fun doing it.
You are free to choose how little, or how much clothing to wear, a draped white sheet, a t-shirt and jeans, lingerie, a body suit, or anything else we dream up. Either way, I assure you that together, we will create amazing photographs that you will love!

VIEWING AND ORDERING SESSION
We will schedule a time for you to view your portraits after your shoot. Depending on the style of photoshoot, i.e. portrait, personal branding, headshots, etc. you may view and place your order immediately following a session, or with about 2 weeks of the session.
