I hold a strong belief that people are amazing, resilient, and powerful; sometimes our behaviors become stuck, and these behaviors add barriers to achieving a brighter, highly connected, and fulfilling life. I can help figure out these patterns, why they exist, how to deconstruct them, and celebrate along the way!
Don’t be surprised if my laugh is heard from the waiting room as I weave humor and joy into the deeper, tougher work.
I am flexible in approach and use collaboration as the basis for all therapy. I love to work with people that experience oppression including people of color, women, people with gender fluidity, sexuality fluidity, any spirituality, and people with physical or medical limitations in life. I am a social justice warrior and always love for my clients to enrich my life by sharing their lives with me.
I specialize in trauma, specifically attachment trauma, parenting concerns, gender based violence, sexual violence, interpersonal violence, depression,
anxiety, complex mental health conditions, and relationship struggles. I work with many of my clients on sex, intimacy, and eroticism to be able to enjoy sex in a healthy and empowering way!
I started my career working within the child welfare system and focused to build stronger and more resilient families; I have worked in local foster care and adoption, international adoption, family preservation, psychiatric hospitals, family shelters, and community based settings.
I am a self-proclaimed neurobiology nerd! I use this to help clients understand the brain, what is happening, how to manage it, and how to use neuroplasticity to ultimately change how the brain functions (I totally geek out on this stuff)!
