I loved working with Jen! She took some amazing photos of my family when we welcomed our newborn son. We especially enjoyed the perspectives she captured of our new baby - the lighting and the poses were beautiful. From the expressions on his little face all the way down to his tiny toes, she caught it all! We couldn’t have asked for a greater experience. I hope you have the chance to work with this extremely talented artist! More...

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
I think the secrete of taking a good photograph, depends on how well a photographer understand light, how well a photographer directs a client, and how well a photographer is in the details. But technicality won't work unless your connected with your photographer. Connection is what elevates the mood and comfort of a session to get those authentic moments. I really think a photographer needs to be personable and likable in order to vibe with the client.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Communication is key and very important. I send out a questionnaire before I start any session. The questionnaire gives me a clear indication of your desire and help me communicate suggestions. We collaborate on thoughts and ideas. I want to help my client feel at ease and the only worry they should have is to show up at the session. I provide as much information before the session date, so my client feels confident and knows what to expect.
What do you love most about your job?
I'm a trained artist in Fine Arts. I draw, paint and create sculptures. Although I'm not any raw materials with my hands, I love the editing aspect of Photography. I feel like I am painting digitally. I believe you can take an average photo and really make it complete once editing is done. I hand edit all my pictures in my own signature style. It brings the photograph to life.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was raised by a strong wonderful mother, who taught me to not rely on no one. My mother always stated that our life can change in a day and we need to be prepared. My mother started her own alteration wedding business just after she went through a divorce. Which taught me reliance through hard times. I'm happy married, but no on knows when things will change. Death, sickness, or martial status can change, and I wanted to be able to protect myself and family. My mother is a great business women and I wanted to follow in her footsteps, and to show my children we are capable in anything we put our heart towards. Art has always been a passion of mine, and I enjoy seeing my artwork appreciated by others. It really is a pleasure to help others preserve those memories sacred while teaching myself and family that I am competent to provide while doing something that I love.
Why should our clients choose you?
I try to please my clients with their wants and needs, by customizing their own unique session. I have a desire to make art and make sure it's frame worthy. I do take time in all my sessions and give my undivided attention. For me professional quality is very important and I will never go less than giving my best.
