What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The secret to taking a great photograph is a combination of creative vision and the knowledge of what makes a good photo. With a certain amount of technical know-how, even someone with little or no creativity can take a photograph that is clear and well-composed... but with a touch of creativity on top of that technical foundation, you can create greatness.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
When working with a new client, I like to get to know as much as possible about the client's vision, their needs and wants, and their expectations. If it doesn't come up in our conversation during an initial call or consultation, those are the things I will ask questions about.
What do you love most about your job?
The thing that I love most about doing photography is leaving people with beautifully captured moments to help them remember and cherish those fleeting but special points in time.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have always had a passion for photography and the arts, and it slowly started to become a business as I began to travel after college. Many of the people that I met along my travels people began to appreciate my work and request my help with their photography needs, and it evolved into the business that it is today.

I can't speak for everyone, but the clients who have chosen me in the past have done so because they connected with my work enough to reach out to me, and because once we spoke, they could tell that I truly care about what I do and that I am invested in capturing as many beautiful frames as possible and delivering top-quality work.

I am able to provide certain types of remote work - product photos, for example. That said, much of my work requires me to be at the same location as the client for the duration of the shoot.

I am continuously making changes and updates to the way I run my business based on the latest data and information on COVID-19. Keeping my clients safe and comfortable is of the utmost importance to me, and I take active measures to ensure that I am following the latest COVID-19 safety guidances.
