I’m Jacqulene (Jac) and the big chunky guy with amber eyes in my cover photo is Rizzo, the very first member of my pack - my dog, my sidekick, my right-hand through life. I’m a relationship-based dog trainer, passionate about bringing balance to the life you share with your dog. Everything that I preach and practice goes back to one golden concept: every dog is looking for the same thing - leadership. In both the dog world and human world alike, leadership is earned. Easy enough, right? Well, it should be, but most dog owners fail to acknowledge the most simple part of this whole equation - dogs are not like us - we can’t think like a human if we want to understand and communicate with dog. We have to understand our dog for what they are, a dog, so that we can become a pack leader worth following. I equip people with a basic foundational understanding of canine behavior and psychology, coupled with techniques and strategies that together work to strengthen the human relationship with dog and resolve unwanted behavior.
